The death of a lobbyist in a Capitol Hill garage fire last month has been ruled accidental by the D.C. medical examiner's office, which said Friday that 37-year-old Ashley Turton died from burns and inhaling "products of combustion."
An autopsy also found that "acute alcohol intoxication" contributed to her death, the office said.
Now I think something fishy is going on as there are not to many people that “start” the day with “”acute” alcohol intoxication”......No way!
??
This is getting interesting.
First her car bursts into flames caused by the excessive heat from her head lights igniting the fluid from her radiator that leaked when it ran into the workbench. Now, this. Hmmm?
I didn’t carefully read the other article. I think it sounds very strange. Did this woman have a serious drinking problem? And isn’t it interesting that she drove all the way home that drunk without incident, only to crash and burn in her own garage. Cars don’t often burst into flames. If it was that mashed up, it would have made a pretty big bang, wonder if any of the neighbors heard anything that night?
ran into a workbench while BACKING out of her garage? I saw the picture of her burning car and garage and that does not sound plausible at all. I am sure once she found out about the buyout of the company, she quickly drank 10 shots of booze and decided to drive to work at 5am.
I know I often get up in the morning and consume large amounts of alcohol very quickly before I drive to work(sarc). Another unexplained death involving democrats, corporations, and the White House. Nothing to see folks, move on..........
So this "low-speed" collision coupled with "acute alcohol intoxication" caused this "accident"???? To me, that explains NOTHING! I wonder if investigators will re-create the accident to be sure it wasn't a vehicle defect?
Very odd, the story is that she was LEAVING for work. Which means she would have been backing up in the car, yet the only way she could have bashed in the front of the car would be by moving forward. Me thinks Bambi knows the truth and demanded a cover up.
“Acute” alcohol intoxication ... what did she do, start the day by drinking 25 Screwdrivers?
Ping.
I use to work on cars with my dad. We always added water to the radiator along with the anti-freeze, which I would think make it less flammable unless all the water was boiled off. From what I read after blinging anti-freeze combustible, it will burn but, it isn’t all that easy. With water added to the radiator I would think it would be near impossible.
Thanks Gabrial.
Hmmm, the exploding radiator didn’t stick eh?
More like “acute assassination”. Wonder who the chick offended? What did she know?
This is just like those old movies where the bad guy knocks a guy out, puts him in his car, pours alcohol all over him and then shoves the car over a cliff.
backing out caused it to go forward? Parked at a strange angle? Intoxicated and arriving, not leaving...

Are the WaPo article comments disabled?
Yep, their explanation makes more sense if she was coming HOME in the morning after an all-nighter. The leaving for work just doesn’t fit.
