He also referenced Gandhi. In 1979,
William Sullivan, the U.S. ambassador in Tehran, compared Khomeini to Gandhi.
Gandhi references when discussing Islamic revolutions, generally don't end up being relevant, when all the dust settles. I expect the same here.
