“explained the aunt's actions as “a cultural thing,” “

I guess “gheto” as a culture justifies a different set of rules, or “for thee, but not for me”?

As a point being ignored all around, the law requires reporting “suspicion” of child abuse, it doesn't stipulate “you didn't see a thang” as a defense.

The Obama administration will certainly be siding with the person who fired her.

Off topic, but where’d you get that picture? I know a whole bunch of people (both here and IRL) who think that what Vick did ‘wasn’t so bad’ and ‘he’s paid his debt to society’. If it’s on a link-able site, I will actually LEARN to link so that I can throw it in the faces of at least the ones here.

I will tell all on here what is dangerous. Whites are tuned out and do not realize what is going on in America. Your stupidity will haunt all your future relatives.White folks do not know a racist when they see one.

The idea behind your post is that this precedent will be applied equally without regard to the race of the employer or employee.

It will not.

People already get fired for racial discrimination. How is this a dangerous precedent?

Beacause, apparently, the standard used to be that the person who pulled the trigger on firing you had to be racist. Now the standard has been lowered to “some dgree of influence,” conceivably opening it up to racism intruding at any point along the process of firing. For

The trial judge had overruled the jury's finding that the firing was discriminatory. That is not unheard of, but it is not usual.

Betcha the plaintiff's heart sank when she got a look at Billy Clinton's planted feral judge, and realized that she was going up against The Club.

Eric Holder will probably have her arrested and beaten in the basement of the "Justice Brothers Department"...

the law requires reporting “suspicion” of child abuse, it doesn't stipulate “you didn't see a thang” as a defense.
After which, so it's said, the "suspicion" gets reified by a "where there's smoke there's fire" approach to adjudication because that empowers the people who are making the judgement (at the expense of the parent, of course).

'this is the way we discipline children in our culture'
works as a defense if you are a politically correct victim, tho.

The whole incident wouldn't have happened if that white woman had been in on the joke, instead of trying to act colorblind. SCOTUS dropped the ball in the Connecticut firemen's discrimination case. They did rule in favor of the wronged white firemen - but they should have ruled that being the same race as the president was not a valid basis for favored treatment by the government.

Imagine you are an employer and lay off a person based on complaints, racial or otherwise, from an employee about another employee. I would say you would have to be very certain of the circumstances before firing anyone or face the liability.

Which is why you must discriminate in hiring. Once the savages are inside there's no good way to get them out.

One piece of business advice my husband received years ago was "never hire anyone you can't fire." This applied to family members, litigious activist types, etc., etc.

Its already been there for a long time. That it was used to fire a white person and she successfully sued is new.

"People already get fired for racial discrimination."
hoo boy, could I get alot of people upset with this line....i was hired, and reported for my first day of work to my new supervisor...upon introducing myself, the super said, " I will not have another damn Pollack on my shift"....I did not finish the shift before I was fired.......I applied for a job with a major(nationwide) company...I took the test for employment..scored a 95...at 80, you are automatically hired..my father worked for this company for over 25 years at this time, and was in managment..when I went to personnel to get hired, the cute little blonde lady sitting across the desk from me would not even look at me...she just looked down at the papers on her desk...she then said, and I quote, because I will never forget these words.."I am sorry, but we cannot hire you. You see, you are both the wrong sex and the wrong color. If you were a black female, you would not even have had to take the test. We have nothing here for you. I am sorry."....Years later, I was a plant manager. A black man ( the worst excuse for a human being I had ever met) attacked me with a chair in my office. He put the chair through the wall ( after I had ducked ) he walked out. I never saw him again. I reported th incident to human resourses. They terminated him. He then sued the company and me for discrimination. I was fired because of this, but the company paid for my attorney. This went on for over 2 years ( the company would not settle, and I refused to be deposed )...finally, after 2 years of this, the company paid for his attorney fees, he never got a dime, and the case was dropped.....I defy someone with colored skin to even think about talking to me about discrimination.....if what has happened to me happened to black person, that black person would be wealthy beyond imagination...

The lesson is: Don’t fire the token white lady.>>>>>>>

I know a token white woman who is a hospital security guard. He co-workers are black women and treat like crap and give her worst assignments. Plus they have her driving 14 miles to work instead of the hospital one mile from her house where she started out at. Blacks will discriminate all the time. Whites live in fear of doing so.
