What Rush Limbaugh doesn't know about black people could fill the empty cavern that is his brain. Many times over....Limbaugh's latest little item concerned a Super Bowl ad.
.
Where I saw silly, Limbaugh observed something much more profound. Well, maybe profound isn't the right word. (Does he really think all black women are filled with self-doubt and all white, blond women have that much power?) He gave much more thought to it than any TV ad deserves. He had already criticized U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) for denouncing the ad as "demeaning" African-American women .....

**MODS need to ZOT this posting...**
What would Black women do without those wigs made with Asian hair?
(Warning: not read whole article yet) So which is it? The ad is bad or good for black women?
I liked the ad OK (Mom doesn’t - doesn’t like the violence), and while I noticed the interesting aspect of the black man checking out the blonde white woman, I didn’t think of it as a subtle “black-on-white violence” or anything like that. The black woman was already angry at her man, never mind the white woman who shows up.
This is the same sentiment white girls give to guys marrying asian chicks
I was lucky enough to be married to a beautifu asian woman (no wisecrakcs please- she died in a car accident)
I eperienced this hate stare a lot of times.
U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas)wanted to ZOTTT the PEPSI ad. Mods will do what Mods will do.....”It ain’t nothin’”
Mary or Mario?
I’d be willing to bet, Ms. Curtis, that in the company of fellow African Americans, you have said things many times worse than this. Your insincere little protest rings hollow.
People in glass houses...
Yes another natural bottle blond.
Yes another natural bottle blond.
I’ve read that well-educated black women greatly outnumber well-educated black men, so there is a shortage there and it may heighten black women’s irritation regarding black men being attracted to white women.
I think the solution is to start a “mail-order groom” service introducing all those educated chinese men who can’t find brides because of the one-child policy in China to the educated American black women. Probably not classically handsome couples, but the kids will be cute. : )
This is very typical: “Why are you calling me a ***INSERT SOME KIND OF “IST” HERE***? Some of my best friends are ***INSERT TARGETED GROUP HERE***”!
(better)
Meanwhile, the black couple in the commercial are now combing the park where the incident took place in search of the "real" can thrower(s).
“placing all black people into one monolithic pile, as though we act and think as one.”
Well, there is the little problem that almost everyone knows - 90-95% voting Democrat is about the very definition of “monolithic”.
I am married to a blonde woman. She is not affended by dumb blonde jokes. Maybe because she is not really dumb. Or really blonde.
I thought the ad was funny myself and did not give it a moments thought. BTW so did my very blonde wife.
Speaking of blondes: I remember the first football game I took her to when she asked me to explain something to her:
"Well, at the begginning of the game, both teams flipped a quarter to see who would kick off first. Then the rest of the game everybody was yelling get the quarter back, get the quarter back, get the quarter back. So I thought to myself, gosh it's just a quarter!"
Blondes, geeze
That segment of society for the most part, and rightly, adjusted to avoid criticism.
Rush has a point. Instead this woman chooses to shoot the messenger.
Stereotypes exist for a reason. The “angry black woman” in the ad only works because everyone knows who she is. She incessantly nags and henpecks her husband. She’s a well known and familiar character. When her husband checks out a cutsy little white girl it sends her right over the top.
Limbaugh got it spot on.
I don’t know if Mrs. Curtis is like that woman or not, but chances are pretty good she knows someone that is. Is that a prejudiced thing for me to say? Yep. Is it inaccurate? Not a chance.
Rush and his fondeness for trophies coughed up a hairball of political correctness yesterday.
