The unemployment rate in Mexico was last reported at 4.94 percent in December of 2010. From 2000 until 2010, Mexico's Unemployment Rate averaged 3.45 percent reaching an historical high of 5.93 percent in May of 2009 and a record low of 2.22 percent in November of 2002. The labor force is defined as the number of people employed plus the number unemployed but seeking work. The non labor force includes those who are not looking for work, those who are institutionalized and those serving in the military. This page includes: Mexico Unemployment Rate chart, historical data and news.
Over 10% of the Mexican population lives in the US, more than 10 million people.
If 10% of the US population lived outside the US, we would have full employment also, especially if they were the poorest of the poor dumped on another country’s welfare state.
Not only does Mexico have full employment, it has the 11th largest economy (PPP) in the world.
Very few Latinos in this country have more than two!! Threw a wrench in the great forecasting of population growth.
Maybe it is just particular to where I live then but they all have at least 3 and usually more.
ya, cuz they’re all here taking our jobs and also, selling pot and other illegal drugs doesn’t qualify for a w-2 form.
And the wierdo we just elected governor in CA wants to raise taxes.
First, I don't believe the number - it reminds me of Cuba's 100% literacy rate. That being said, whatever their employment number is or isn't, what is unquestionable is that a Mexican job pays only a fraction of what a US minimum wage job pays. They're coming here because it's economically advantageous.
No, they count Mex illegals working in the US, therefore their figures look better than ours. Only thing is, as our unemployment gets worse, fewer US citizens can afford to stay at hotels, motels and flop houses, so their unemployment numbers about to go up.
Fifty years ago the Mexicans in Los Angeles county were “breeding” for the revolution when they expected to recover ownership of the southwest USA.
.........”The non labor force includes those who are not looking for work”.............
67% of the population.......
.........The non labor force includes those who are not looking for work.............
67% of the population
Congratulations ...At least you read the report. It’s a completely inflated figure, which includes their army navy and jailed inmates. It’s valueless, like Obama stats ...sounds like satire...except its not April 1st.
Irish kinship with Mexicans dates back to the San Patricios, when Irishmen left the US Army during the invasion of Mexico to help a Catholic people against a Protestant aggressor (their flag was a Mexican flag with a harp in the center instead of the eagle - they were hung or branded when captured). I have a problem with illegal aliens, not Mexicans. Many of them in the southwest had families living here before the Mayflower landed; us (relative) newcomers can’t complain about them...(even though we still do).
