No great surprise here, really; Palin has quietly backed the end of DADT and expressed support for conservative gays and lesbians in the past. Speaking here with David Brody from the Christian Broadcast Network and excerpted by Breitbart TV, Palin doesnt endorse GOProud but does defend their attendance at CPAC, and argues that the value of events such as CPAC is to debate the issues and provide as much information as possible to attendees:

She retweeted Tammy Bruces take on those opposing the DADT repeal. It’s a fact, and is still on her twitter site.
Frankly, if her amnesty plan isn’t going to dissuade you, not much will
Considering Romney has been on all sides of all issues, yes I can.
BTW, wasn't it special to see Romney making a fool of himself in his appearance on David Letterman?
Yeah I can’t find where she is talking about GOPROUD!
But the interesting thing is that Ed says that she isn’t supporting the group but neither is against the group.....he can’t make up is mind on cherry picking an allege answer.! Sheesh!!!!
Note the contrast in tone amongst the palinistas to this thread:
Bachmann Will Be the First Potential 2012 GOP Candidate to Speak at CPAC

She retweeted Tammy Bruce's support of the repeal. That to me seems like an endorsement to me. You'll have to ask her to clarify her position.
Two things I make it a point of not watching. David Letterman and Mitt Romney.
Wow! That is exactly how I imagined pissant would look?
Where did you find that pic him?
Pissant has made quite a name for himself.
Of course, so did Hitler.
I’m praying for DeMint/Bachmann. And if they ever announce, I’ll be paying for them too.!
In Palins own words what did she say about GOPROUD or even infer about it? It’s a stretch to make something out of this as a position
It all rather comical. The poster of this thread has stated he wouldn’t vote for a female but in the same instance supports Bachmann for president.
Now if that isn’t trying to put a round peg in a square hole I don’t what is.
I totally agree with Palin on this one. Nobody should stifle or forbid free speech ... ‘cept may the dreaded Monitors on tis forum :)
A conservative gay is very welcome as far as I’m concerned.
After all, they are not 3/5 of a person.
I don’t pretend to speak for her.
Palin is as much a RINO as the others. The only difference is, she has a unique ability to get liberals bent out of shape. That’s why she gets a pass.
What was posted in the excerpt was a writers paraphrase of what she said.
Can you tell the difference?
The paraphrase....
“Palin has quietly backed the end of DADT and expressed support for conservative gays and lesbians in the past. Speaking here with David Brody from the Christian Broadcast Network and excerpted by Breitbart TV, Palin doesnt endorse GOProud but does defend their attendance at CPAC, and argues that the value of events such as CPAC is to debate the issues and provide as much information as possible to attendees:”
Palin in her own words......
Well, Ive never attended a CPAC conference ever so I was a little taken aback this go around when I couldnt make it to this one either and then there was a speculation well I either agree or disagree with some of the groups or issues that CPAC is discussing. It really is a matter of time for me. But when it comes to and David, perhaps what it is that youre suggesting in the question is should the GOP, should conservatives not reach out to others, not participate in events or forums that perhaps are rising within those forums are issues that maybe we dont personally agree with? And I say no, its like you being on a panel shoot, with a bunch of the liberal folks whom you have been on and you provide good information and balance, and you allow for healthy debate, which is needed in order for people to gather information and make up their own minds about issues. I look at participation in an event like CPAC or any other event, along, or kind of in that same vein as the more information that people have the better.
exactly
His support for Bachman is a fraud and I have to fight the instinct to like her less because of it.
What do they call it? A stalking horse tied out there to prove he’s not anti-female.
We should welcome any groups that broadly agree on conservative policy goals 77.2% (569 votes)
Weak attempt to create a wedge issue against Sarah, Pissant.
FAIL.
