The biggest moment any singer can ask for: "The Star Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl. And Christina Aguilera messed up the lyrics. At about 51 seconds in, as she was about to sing the fourth line ("O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming"), she accidentally sang a hybrid of the second line: "What so proudly we watched, at the twilight's last streaming."

I concur. The Cactus Cuties rock. Check out some of their other videos on YouTube. There is one video of them giving an impromptu concert to some soldiers leaving for Iraq at the DFW airport...good stuff.(I’m typing on Blackberry...no links.)
That was singing?
The Gatlin brothers always did a great job with the national anthem. No long drawn out syllables, just great harmony.
Roseanne got knocked over by a log in a commercial tonight.
How fitting.
They will remember Aguilera for screwing the words and Obama for screwing the Nation. So sad.
maybe a truck carrying hair bleach !
lol
Awesome.....thank u.
It was god friken awful!!! The Star Spangled Banner is not a rock/hip hop/ballad. It’s a martial type song meant to inspire. The “America The Beautiful” was awe inspiring. That was sung with grace and beauty. As an aside, I’ve always thought that “God Bless America” or “America The Beautiful” should have been our anthem. It talks about the beauty of our country.
The words written by Francis Scott Key are stirring and beautiful. However the choice of the melody they were put to was a popular drinking song at the time called “To Anacreon in Heaven’’ I’ve always loved ‘America the Beautiful’’.
Oh Brother!
What? You're in to prostitutes?
Have not watched one play from scrimmage and will not. Just caught the idiot singing and F ing up our National Anthem. What a buffoon; such a wannabe. She sucks.
Nope. There were at least 3 of us. My wife and I looked at each other and the disgust on our faces was obvious to each other. In fact, my wife, who knows who she is (I'm too old for that crap) said even before she sang, "I hope she doesn't screw this up".
PeeWee might do as good as Christine did. At least he would be bad on purpose and not just bad. You would think that with as much as they charge for admission, they would get current talent and not resort to the pool of untalented Has-beens.
The commercials are not that good this year. Not like the Budweiser horses with the little guy that makes me cry or the dog that helps with training.

Hank, ok, but since you bring in Patsy, well, I just gotta hear !!
Even when I was young I believed the singing of the Anthem was a serious moment, not one for show.
She ‘show’d it up.
At least she didn’t sing it in illegal alien.
Wow. I just watched them. They are great. they would have been a wise choice.
