If he wasn’t going to be speaking for the US government, they shouldn’t have sent them. The gang that couldn’t shoot straight.
Sit! Stay! No, stay!...Good autocrat.
Administration shoots self in foot?
If we can’t figure out what the Administration’s position is, how can the rest of the World?
Forget it, World, it’s only the Obama Administration talking.
Good grief. This is embarrassing, even by OBama standards.
Even if the majortiy rejects the ideology, a large enough, well-organized minority that is willing to use violence and intimindation will ultimately prevail and impose it on the nation. We need look no futher than Germany, Lebanon, and Gaza for proof of this proposition.
For this reason, we should NOT support open democracy in Egypt or any other country that has a sizeable Islamist presence. Period.
In other words, we need an Arab Attaturk.
“”US State Department spokesman PJ Crowley: We have great respect for Frank Wisner and we were deeply appreciative of his willingness to travel to Egypt last week. He has not continued in any official capacity following the trip. The views he expressed today are his own. He did not coordinate his comments with the U.S. government.””

Not good when State Department has to denounce Obama’s envoy.
That does not play well, even the leftist MSM will take notice of Obama’s incompetence.
Wow, this is so funny it could pass for an April Fool’s posting. Obama has to be the biggest idiot to ever set foot inside the White House. It could not happen to a nicer guy.
Well !! Frank, you just blew any chance of ever working for Obama again. Thats what telling the truth to the Muslim Fake President get’s you.
I do appreiate the truth though.
This doesn’t fit the Muslim Brotherhood President’s script. He is very very angry.
He is honestly and strongly implying that Obama needs to zip it, that is continuing demands on Mubarak only serve to humiliate him in public and stir up trouble.
>> Amid calls for President Hosni Mubarak
I’m thinking, “Who the hell’s Amid”...

Even worse from America's perspective, the US went from having a reliable ally in Iran to our having an intractably enemy there.
I would like to see less autocracy in Egypt, and more democracy; but if the Islamists take over, that will not happen. And both Israel (a next-door neighbor to Egypt) and the US will suffer, as a result.
Even for those of us who deplore the cynical and amoral doctrine of realpolitic, this seems like a really tricky situation.
There's no better way to acknowledge that skinny's plan to destabilize the ME got smacked down by his own envoy than float a petulant Nuh Unnh!.
What a childish punk he's turned out to be.
