David Cameron has criticised "state multiculturalism" in his first speech as prime minister on radicalisation and the causes of terrorism.
At a security conference in Germany, he argued the UK needed a stronger national identity to prevent people turning to all kinds of extremism.
Human rights
"Let's properly judge these organisations: Do they believe in universal human rights - including for women and people of other faiths? Do they believe in equality of all before the law? Do they believe in democracy and the right of people to elect their own government? Do they encourage integration or separatism?

As it has failed everywhere.
A nation can’t survive as a “salad bowl”.
There is a big EDL demo in Luton today. I have been reading a lot about this and came to the conclusion that the Tories have been polling and discovered that most of the British are coming to favor the point of view expressed by Cameron in this latest utterance. The tone of the UK media coverage has changed, too.
Hint to Mr. Cameron: diversity is not a strength.
Talk is cheap. A socialist can’t change his spots.
The first step should be to return the British their guns.
Diversity is perversity.
Something we’ll never hear in the USA... I hope I am wrong.
Might be a neat trick as their guns have already been deactivated or smelted down to make chains and shackles.
How can you return something that we mostly didn’t have in the first place?
Even before the 1997 handgun ban, widespread gun ownership was not a feature of British society.
For the past 100 years, give or take, the only people who have been armed are the farmers, sports shooters and other country folk.
The idea that everyone in Britain was tooled up before suddenly evil government snatched them all away is innaccurate.
Yes, the Brits, like many other uber-tolerant nations are realizing that a multicultural citizenry is fine, so long as it remains totally loyal to the principles and values of their nation. The USA has always understood this and has implemented sedition laws, loyalty oaths and the Pledge of Allegiance. Sadly, the are those on the Left who consider such notions as anachronistic and even fascist. They sniff at past efforts to root out subversive activities, like we did in the 40s and 50s as misguided and foolish. Now the Europeans have an antiestblishment element in their midst and the same kind of PC sensitivity is preventing them from rooting them out. Failure to do so will lead to more attacks like the London and Madrid bombings, I’m afraid.
Diversity is a fact, not a value.
I am so happy to be able to answer the PM's questions for him. Now I have a question for him:
The political elite in the UK have already imported millions of angry, hostile aliens who believe in their strange moon god cult and seek to replace the laws, customs and eventually peoples of the British Isles with their co-ethnics and co-religionists.
You, and your party, have been complicit in this transformation. And you've done it without the agreement of the native population. Two questions:
“The speech angered some Muslim groups, while others queried its timing amid an English Defence League rally in the UK.”
Why should it? If these Muslim groups are truly peaceful, why do they care if they get investigated. Obama and his people are more than welcome to set up cameras and microphones at my church, we have nothing to fear - heck, they may come out better people for it.
There are still Scots and Welsh who refuse to speak English and want to secede. Yes, multiculturalism has failed. LOL
“Is England finally waking up? “
It’s gotten so bad, they finally had to notice!
Today:
Majority in U.S. and EU see Immigrants as a Problem

[snip]The Transatlantic Trends survey is sponsored by several institutions in the United States and Europe. Most Europeans and Americans believe that immigration is a problem rather than an advantage for their respective countries, according to a survey published Thursday by a group of foundations. The survey shows that citizens whose personal situation worsened due to the economic crisis in the past two years believe that immigrants are to blame for it. 65% of Britons believe that immigrants are a problem, followed by Spanish (53%) and Americans (52%), and then by French (42%), German and Dutch (39%).
What is the “EDL’’?
He is thinking about the next election and has to appease the English Defense League crowd.
Islam is intolerant and the average person on the street can see it.
Cameron called for a “muscular liberalism” in his speech as in defending tolerance of people on the basis of their “sexuality” as he put it.
Cameron is probably responding to recent comments by a Conservative Party leader and Muslim who stated that prejudice against Muslims as socially acceptable in the UK.
