WikiLeaks: UN aid cash went to Islamist insurgents ( Somalia )

The United Nations was paying one of the world’s most notorious terrorist groups after getting “too close” to it, secret documents disclose. The UN World Food Programme (WFP) had to suspend activities in southern Somalia after being manipulated by al-Shabaab, which is linked to al-Qaeda.

In a meeting last year with the UN ambassador Susan Rice, Ahmedou Ould-Abdallah, the special representative for Somalia, said the WFP had been withdrawn “because it had become too reliant upon al-Shabaab and its system of pay-offs”.

Al-Shabaab, an Islamic group fighting to overthrow the Somalian government, controls much of south and central Somalia and part of the capital Mogadishu, where it has imposed a form of Islamic law.

When US aid via the UN finds it’s intended target it’s an accident (and a miracle)

And you can bet that millions if not billions of dollars from the 840 billion dollar stimulus program is going to fund these terrorists. Guaranteed.

Assange was never the problem, and WikiLeaks could be a valuable organization for "our" side. The problem was that twerp Manning, who should never have been allowed in the Army, and whoever was responsible for letting him have access to all that classified information. Those are the people whose heads should roll.

It is probably impossible to untangle the web of wasteful so called foreign aid that the American taxpayers have been conned into by their corrupt bribe taking leadership on both sides of the aisle.

Who could have guessed that the IRS was a Wahhabist front?

I mean, except for their common tactics and level of humanity.

Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

Question: Is Assange a good guy when he release facts about our enemies? I say he’s not a bad guy no matter who gets embarrassed.

He certainly deserves one more then obama he also let the world know how the Arab countries really felt about Iran and about Al Qaeda and suitcase nukes oh and he also said 911 was not a conspiracy. That’s when the left started to turn on him. However the administration didn’t say a word until he said he was going to release information on a big bank, presumably BOA and then they went hog wild. Understandable since Jamie Demon has been supporting him for years.

Bush II was a foreign policy idiot. The Bushes are globalist one - worlders, not what they presented themselves to be.

No matter which incompetent idiot is sitting in the White House or which incompetent political party is controlling Congress, they all bow down before the power of the banks.

He is a closet something but I don't know where on the list conservative would be.

This same problem is what Black Hawk down was about. Bush I got stampeded by the media into doing something about the starving people of Somalia. It was a daily news item to show the swollen bellies of the children covered with flies, etc. He sent in aid and the warlords took it for themselves. Then Clinton took office and sent troops but withdrew them when the going got tough.

Nothing has changed since. It just wasn't being reported and it was under the auspices of the UN so no one is surprised.
