Every once in a while when Chris Matthews isn't idiotically railing on Michele Bachmann, and Sarah Palin, and lately Glenn Beck, says something interesting, or at least out of character.
Case in point: This morning he popped up on Morning Joe for a Lent segment during which he strongly criticized America's reaction to the Egyptian uprising and Obama's treatment of Mubarak.

He took a break from his “gibbering idiot” role, which he took with unseemly haste after Keith Olbermann was escorted offstage by the men in white coats.
We told Matthews what that tingle was...he didn’t listen. Now he’s gotta wipe it up.

Yep, feeling is returning to his leg. His brain may take a bit longer.
The first sensible thing Matthews has said in years.
He must be back on his meds today.

Chrissy must have had a reality check. I wonder who gave it to him? That’s pretty out of character for him so someone he trusts must have told him of the possible consequences.
Dan Gillerman was on with Megyn a little while ago- and very seriously reminded us that in spite of how we’re all watching this on TV- this is not a game, this is the ME and these are real people. He was very sober.
That old tingling in his legs has become a wet spot in his pants.
Only two things can explain Matthew’s erratic commentary - either he’s chosen to eschew any intellectual content in favor of whatever gets ratings; or he’s flat nuts.
Wow, I know that the Obama administration’s treatment of our ally Mubarek has been deplorable, but it’s so bad that Matthews has to admit it?!

I’ve been around FR long enough to remember how everybody here had a tingle for Chrissy Fit Matthews during the Clintoon impeachment.
My ashamed-of-America moment already came on November 4, 2008.
I cannot understand Matthews' complaint. Chris is the same guy who wrote Life's A Campaign, which is basically a guidebook for duplicity. Most people don't know that because the book was such a bomb.
