White House press secretary Robert Gibbs released this statement Wednesday morning on the violent clashes with protesters in Egypt, hours after President Obama called for restraint:
"The United States deplores and condemns the violence that is taking place in Egypt, and we are deeply concerned about attacks on the media and peaceful demonstrators. We repeat our strong call for restraint."

You beat me to it. Sheesh, you’d think they could learn to get their stories straight by now. Bammer is out saying one thing and his cronies something else. Bottom line - this administration is supporting the overthrow of a government in favor of one comprised of Islamic radicals. Wake up people.
