This weekend's Super Bowl clash between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers will be the first in the game's 45 year history sans cheerleaders.
The Packers and the Steelers are two of the six NFL teams that do not have pom-pom squads, and they havent had them in years. The Packers did away with their cheerleaders in 1988 after market research indicated fans didnt really care, and in 1970 it was an organizational decision to dissolve the Steelerettes.

You’ve obviously never been to a “Gentleman’s Club”, or it’s been a while since you’ve been.
The Salt Lake Jazz?
Easy fix: Los Angeles Stealers
I prefer to think of it as the Super-Bore.
Hmm ... who’s going to dance in those cages that Jerry installed in his new Pleasure Dome?
now THOSE are some thighs!
It always bothered me that they don’t show the cheerleaders very often. I mean, if they’re going to go to the trouble of looking so good, and we’re going to have highbrows, prudes, and feminists complain about them anyway, why not show them more than a split second once in a while before going to commercial?
The female human form is the most beautiful physical form in the universe. Lovely.
Neither does the Los Angeles Trolley Dodgers.
Oh please - you attack me for a photo of dancers wearing more clothing than ANY woman on a U.S. beach, while dirty old men post vile comments on threads about female child molesters on this site?!
“What are the people at the game going to do in the 15 minutes or so between plays? Fan of football here, but HATE the Super Bowl. It is not a game, it is an exhibition in slow motion. I recognize that I am in the minority, but until they return the game to the same rules of football, like 1 minute time outs, 15 minute halftime. Play the game in the time allotted PLEASE!!!!”
These seem like pretty petty complaints. Go ahead and hate the Superbowl, but for its halftime show and time-out length? Really? Instant replay, okay. TV time-outs, oh, dear lord, yes. Being more often than not boring as a visit to the dentist’s? Heck yeah. Even close games with exciting finishes tend to slug their way through most of the festivities.
The Patriots, for instance, have not provided one single good championship game. The helmet catch made us forget how utterly sleepy were the preceeding 3+ quaters.
I think you’re skanky and you ruin FR for conservative women. I think you’re a slave to sex and you like to force it or others. Just my opinion.
I last watched the Seattle/Pittsburgh game.....no strike that, the Patriot Giant game was pretty good. I watch football with a focus, not as a casual glancing spectator. I watch the plays on my DVR, with little or no time in between plays, that is not watching the spectacle, which I do not go out of my way to do. IT IS BORING...almost as bad as world cup soccer.
Now, that’s funny!
It was not.
Where are you on the "I'd hit that teacher if I were 12 again" threads?
If you choose to be a shrew, don't do it about an image where the women expose less than The Rockettes.
