I've just received word from inside sources in the U.S. Senate.
Senate Democrats are planning to execute a sneak attack on gun rights as soon as TODAY!
Their plan is to sneak Carolyn McCarthy's Magazine Ban into law as an amendment to the Federal Aviation Administration Bill, a routine piece of generally non-controversial legislation.
And they hope YOU won't notice.
That's why you and I need to make our voices heard RIGHT NOW!
We need to let them know we're watching them like a hawk!
Please call Sen. Jim Webb at (202) 224-4024 and Sen. Mark Warner at (202) 224-2023.
Make sure they know about this scheme and that they must oppose Carolyn McCarthy's Magazine Ban every step of the way whether it's attached as an amendment or not.
And make sure they know you're watching.
Thanks for taking action,
Mike McHugh President, VGOC
Virginia's Only State-Level No-More-Excuses Gun Lobby.
P.S. Please consider a generous donation at www.vgoc.org to keep us in the fight. Right now we are going in multiple directions and need all the help we can get.
This is the Democrats tit-for-tat moment. They are adding this amendment as a response to the republicans adding the healthcare repeal as an amendment to the same FAA legislation.
This amendment won’t survive the senate. If it does it will get axed by the house IMO.
Thanks for posting. Just called my two senators here in Pa and also called Sen Warner. Webb’s phone was full.
I'm not sure what the proper response is, but this is not unexpected.
The proper response is to install the guillotine on the steps of the Capitol.
I’ll trade a hi-cap ban , with a sunset provision if the Republicans enter an amendment to repeal Chapter 4 of the GCA of 1968.
Will Sen. Manchin(D) WVA vote for this? If so, we can all thank the NRA (sarc).
Just received this from VCDL.
I just got word that there may be an attempt to slip a magazine ban similar to the one proposed by anti-gun Congresswoman Caroline McCarthy into a normally benign Federal Aviation Administration bill using an amendment in the U.S. Senate.
They can’t really “sneak” it on without a vote on the amendment and therein lies our defense against it.
I contacted Senator Warner’s and Senator Webb’s office and they confirmed that they have gotten phone calls on this issue this morning from concerned constituents. They say nothing is on the docket for *today* and they can’t yet confirm the validity of the rumor, but they are working on doing so.
Either way, we need to play this safe and flood both offices with calls letting both Senator Warner and Senator Webb know that magazine bans are not acceptable and to please oppose any effort to impose such a ban in any way.
Call Senator Jim Webb’s office at: 202-224-4024
Call Senator Mark Warner’s office at: 202-224-2023
Let’s Roll!

We might as well ban SUVs, Trucks, etc. Since they can be used as a weapon, and kill more people that a Smart Car.
the stupidity in DC is beyond words these days....
Their plan is to sneak Carolyn McCarthy's Magazine Ban into law as an amendment to the Federal Aviation Administration Bill, a routine piece of generally non-controversial legislation. Thanks Cheeks.
And if Manchin votes against it, will you keep bashing the NRA? I’ll bet you will.
And if there were a real man among them, the Republicans would attach NATIONAL RECIPROCITY to every piece of legislation. It failed by one vote last year, it won’t fail this time if they have the balls to introduce it.
As long as the NRA keeps supporting Dims who then support the anti-gun, anti Constitutional Dim leadership, you betcha!
The goal for the NRA is to maintain their raison d’etre by keeping the Dim leadership intact by promoting the so-called “conservative” Dims. The primary goal of the NRA is survival as an organization, gun rights are second and the Constitution? What’s that?
