What, did they hand out business cards? I'm not saying that the Mubarak regime isn't capable of doing this, but if some of these acts are being perpetrated by someone else, or by gov't officials w/o gov't sanction, then the regime's not the only problem. Has the regime copped to any of this?
The actions of the warring mobs and sensational TV shots are not worth one single life. There will always be some local professional news hawks there to get pictures and news out if rewarded sufficiently.
Now if the journalistas WANT to stay in the eye of the tornado for either guts or glory, then that's their business....and I have no sympathy if they refuse to heed warnings and ignore what they see with their own eyes.

oh come on like the regime is gonna say “oh yes we’re out busting journo’s heads”
They wont tell you anything until the baseball bat hits you round the head.
FWIW, I think it’d be good to know if these are actually military/supporters carrying this stuff out, military/supporters w/o gov’t sanction, or MB-types out to cause chaos. Or various combination of some or all of the above. If the Army’s doing it with approval, why hide it. They’re the Army and they work for the regime. If the military’s doing it without sanction, then has the Army brass lost control of some of its units/personnel? That could be a very big deal. And if it’s someone else out to raise havoc, then the Egyptian people ought to be made aware of that before they’re used as cannon fodder.
morning just woke up. back to this thread. Thanks again to all who are updating here!

BARACK’S BARAKAH: President Obama prayed briefly for Egyptians on Thursday, saying at the National Prayer Breakfast that he hopes a “better day will dawn” over Egypt after protesters were attacked in Cairo.
“Were also mindful of the violence that were now seeing in the Middle East,” Obama said. “We pray that violence in Egypt will end and the rights and aspirations of the Egyptian people will be realized. And that a better day will dawn over Egypt and throughout the world.”
Oh yeah, throwing Murabek under the bus is a great idea. Thank you Obama.
