Under these programs, the USDA uses chemical poisons to murder literally millions of birds each year, including an occasional endangered species animal by accident. This is all part of the USDA's insane program of death to protect the financial interests of conventional agriculture giants.

The whole thing is pretty bizarre.
I guess it just shows how deep the Leftists have infiltrated our culture.
Only God can do that, when man tries to play God, it usually leads to disastrous results.
From a current farmer who has never, ever, met another farmer that has been trespassed upon or sued ... I second your comments.
Someone reads it on the interwebs and repeats it. Somebody will read it on this thread and repeat it as fact

There is a Canadian case and no, he didn’t purchase their seeds and they had no contract with him.
They would have produced that contract in court and they didn’t, actually with the contract—it would have probably never went to court.
Yet, somehow without this contract they collected plants from his field,in order to bring a case against him.
I’m not saying this guy Schmeiser is all above board and some of complaints about GE isn’t environmental hysterics or whatever.
I’m just saying that there are issues about this that bothers me. I’m open to listening/reading anything and dropping my worries—because obviously GE can be very helpful and good.

I think GMO can be a good thing in moderation and certainly can have some of the benefits you describe. But still, I can’t help but to feel leery about becoming too overly dependent on GMO food.
Man has been trying to play God for centuries with mixed results. God laughs, but appreciates the compliment.
I was using the phrase ‘Garden of Eden’ in relative terms. The real one is gone, and we certainly can’t bring it back, but we can make some moves in that direction.
As to dependence on GMO, it’s already deep, deep, into everyday food production. 20 years worth for some crops.
All I can say is, I hope you’re right.
For that matter, look at dogs, an entire sub-species created by human manipulation.
The politics opposing Genetically Modified food is like the politics of conservation. The loudest voices are on the Left, but there is substantial concern from the Right.
The Left is motivated by hatred of business, free enterprise, corporations and a desire for more government control. They use the Cause as a tool to advance Socialism.
The real conservationists tend to be farmers, hunters and people who live off the land. The real food purists tend to be Christians who want the option to eat God-made natural food instead of chemicals.
Consider the source. NaturalNews is a crackpot site with pretty much all the whacked conspiracy theories du jour.
Nope, plenty of Conservatives like natural, rather than man made, food.
Could you give is more than two sentences?
I think you mean “Garden of Mengele.”
Here’s a new, real, fact to consider: As measured by the average families income, over the past 40 years food prices have fallen 30%.
Monsanto, Cargill, Deere & Co, and others were major players in the cost savings that every American family enjoys each and every time they go to the grocery store, or go to a restaurant.
Don’t fall for the Leftist tripe, we eat better, safer, foods than anyone else in history. We spend less money on food than anyone else has in the entire history of the world.
Monsanto has been a big part of that miracle

My favorite variety is the seascape (great acidic flavor), which, thanks to a heavy human hand look like this:
>> “The same people that just knew that vaccinating children causes autism.” <<
.
And that evidence has grown into a statistical Mt. Everest.

Not a problem, go for it. Not everyone has enough money to eat that way.
I have a cousin who grows 'natural' crops. Big farmer, growing wealthy by selling low yield, low quality, 'natural' foods to foolish people.
In fact, if I were still farming, I like to think I'd be smart enough to do the same.
Can't feed America that way though. Food prices would be astronomical, and food would be in perpetual short supply.
The real bread and butter that feeds America is, and has been, genetically modified crops.
>> “Isn’t natural a little overrated?” <<
.
Hybrids are natural.
The problem is not cross-pollenating; it is splicing genes from vastly different species.
No, I don’t.
Just look at the huge gains in the last couple of decades. GMO has meant higher quality, cleaner, more consistant crops.
Visit with a typical farmer, you’ll be amazed at how long GMO has been on the farm, decades, and how long GMO products have been used in food.
Natural News is not a crackpot website and you can have a look at the mutant GMO Soy fed hamsters’ hairy little mouths here....
