Here in SW Montana, we are lucky, we are not in the path of the storm. It’s a beautiful morning - sunny, calm, and oh yes....-20 degrees!
I’m just north of you in Manchester - we are practically neighbors! lol....
I’m remoted in to work and get to multi-task today...
We left the snow. If freezing rain hits it makes it easier to shovel with snow under it.
brrrrrrrrrr
I don’t have any practical way to do that; if you want to save a copy for future reference, go to the picture, then right-click on it and select “Save Picture” (or whatever the equivalent option is in your browser).
Saying it will be worse than the 1967 one.
-20? I can not even imagine!!
Oh wow. The storm will be over by the time I figure out how to do that.....
I’ll contact my daughter and see if she has a photobucket account, or something.
We aren’t set up to work from home, so tomorrow will be double duty....
:)

Exactly. It’s only 14 degrees here, which is helpful.
An I hate winter bookmark!
You would also like the video of Jim Cantore having an emotional breakdown on camera during hurricane coverage! It’s on youtube, I believe.
Seems his wife/girl friend dumped him as he was headed out the door to catch his flight. I saw it live and couldn’t stop laughing the rest of the day.
I think we’re in for more snow, otherwise I’d do the same.
We’ve done that before for the same reason.
Better to shovel off the crust on top of the snow than to have it bond to the pavement.
WeatherUnderground is predicting similar over Tues and Wed

We got a robo-call today from our mayors office (I’m in the NW burbs), warning of doom and gloom, and asking folks to not park on the street and saying that our city will not accept responsibility for damage done by plows, to those who park on the street.
I happened to be on the phone this morning with our attorney (for an unrelated matter) and asked if he got woke up by the call this morning. He laughed, and explained that the city cannot exempt itself from liability and responsibility by making a robo-call. But he did find it to be an amusing tactic. It was the first time I’ve ever had such a call from our City Hall.
Those things should be rationed so there isn't such a gitantic swing in temperatures.
They should have been phased in slowly so as not to upset the fragile eco-system of the Great Lakes.
And let's not forget the ethanol in gasoline which has also contributed to Global Climate Chaos!< /s >
Last I heard, Tulsa Oklahoma was expecting 8-12 inches of snow, and OK City 12-18 inches.
Decent snowfall? We got 22 inches here in Northeast Alabama, and even Mobile got snow in 93. That was one heck of a storm.
It was at that.
It's what you're used to, I guess.
Cantore is a bad weather addict!
About 6-8” here in the NM central mountains, still coming down but very slowly (started yesterday about 3 pm, started and stopped all night). Brisk at 3 degrees, but expecting minus number tonight. Looks like the worst of it will be well east of us.
Still not going in today, Albuquerque got snow, and they don’t cope well.
