Another excerpt:

“I note that in 2008, then-Senator Obama supported a health care reform proposal that did not include an individual mandate because he was at that time strongly opposed to the idea, stating that ‘if a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house,’” Judge Vinson wrote in a footnote toward the end of the 78-page ruling Monday.

moral equivalency at its worst

so Gibbie- the muslim brotherhood is on equal footing with a longtime ally- despite his flaws, his govt is not hanging homosexuals, beheading infidels, stoning women for adultery and demanding war with Israel- but Mubarak should negotiate with them?

The White House is in the process of legitimizing the Muslim Brotherhood as a political force in Egypt. Currently they are banned.

This is terrible.

The obama bunch may be confused by the judge’s comments. They may think he’s applying for a job as secretary of housing and urban development.

People are getting it! Connect the dots man! Obamma’s speeches are just as or more effective than Osamma Bin Laden from his caves.

"White House: We're Not Taking Sides in Egypt

Just like we didn't take sides in 2009 in the Islamic paradise of Iran or the Cedar Revolution in the Islamic paradise of Lebanon.

Peter Griffin sticks his foot in his mouth again!

I wondered who Gibbs reminded me of... now I know!

Soetoro knows he can seal the fate of the Zionists by voting present one more time.

If our President hadn’t turned the United States foreign policy into a weak, spineless, milquetoast pansy, sides would have already been taken.

We SHOULD state our position. We SHOULD be the most powerful nation in the world, and our opinion SHOULD matter to other nations.

For those who blather on about an orderly transition to democracy in Egypt, I have but one question to ask.

If a democracy is to exist in Egypt or any Islamic country, what islamic democracy would you use as a model?

I’ll volunteer to carry the cs to the top floor and watch with glee as gravity takes over.

Turkey?”

Two comments:
1) Yes, Turkey is quite democratic...however, that’s ONLY because they separate mosque and state - and their military has made that more than clear.

2) The present government is in the process of blurring the line and it’s very likely that Turkey’s democratic days may be ending soon.

The MUSLIM Brotherhood, on the other hand, defines itself by its religion...not a prayer for democracy if they EVER get power.

Turkey is 99% muslim. It is against the law to travel with a bible. It is against the law for more than four Christians to gather in one room. It is against the law to build a church....it is hardly what we call a democracy.

Obama will lose Egypt as an ally the same way Jimmuh Cahtuh lost Iran.

This is the point. There is still a ton of our weaponry, our training, and our national interest tied up over there. He could have said, “Look, leaders of all sides need to be brought to the big table and a new constitution should be written. What the US doesn’t want to see is more blood in the streets, and we don’t want to see food riots, which are just around the bend.

Mubarak, El Baradei, the Brotherhood, Christians, etc. should then proceed to the table.

What’s going on now is stalemate leading to food riots and anarchy.
