All Senate Republicans appear ready to repeal health care law By: CNN Political Producer Shannon Travis

Washington (CNN) - Every Republican in the Senate now appears ready to revoke President Obama's signature health care law. This comes as a federal judge, in Florida, strikes down key parts of the law as unconstitutional.

The GOP holds 47 seats in the Senate.

According to Sen. Jim DeMint's office, 45 of them will co-sponsor the South Carolina Republican's legislation – introduced last week - to fully repeal the health law. Republicans are "standing with the American people who are demanding we repeal this government takeover of health care," DeMint said at the time.

DeMint's office told CNN it did not yet have confirmation that Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran would sign on. But CNN contacted Cochran's office and confirmed that he would.

" Is it correct that there aren’t enough Republican votes to repeal it, and, even if there were, Obumble could veto it? "

^^^ What we have here... this right here... ^^^ is a perfect example of negative defeatist thinking.

Can't never did anything.

This should be hung around the neck of every demonrat up for re-election in 2012.

Surely there’s enough having seen what happened to their cohorts to makeup a veto proof majority.

What a lie, the judge did not "strike down key parts" as mentioned in this article.

here's what he said

"Because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire act must be declared void. This has been a difficult decision to reach, and I am aware that it will have indeterminable implications," Vinson wrote.

>> Murkowski is GOP. RINO, but GOP. <<

Murkowski defeated the nominee of the Republican Party and was elected without party affiliation. She is a DIABLO who currently caucuses with the GOP but votes with the Democrats on most issues.

Since yet another judge has just declared 0bamacare unconstitutional, perhaps a few Dems will sign on as well.

>>>>>Some names that may stand out to some are moderate Republicans Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins... and Scott Brown

Nothing moderate about those three anuses. Snowe, Collins and Brown are liberal Republicans. Brown would love to see ObamaCare go down in flames. Then he could push RomneyCare on Americans.

The Senate GOP is in a better position for this since the recent Court ruling, since any Democrat wanting to cross over could rationalize the law won't get through the courts anyway.

Nevertheless, count on Reid to do everything he can to prevent a vote.

Good for DeMint, they need to be aggressive on this right now. It really is tyranny for a government to continue to push this when a majority of the states have brought a lawsuit and won.

The progressives have put this nation through h*ll for 2 years jamming this bill. Time to stop the madness.

One of the talking points expect to hear on MSM -- the approval poll numbers have gone up for Obamacare (Shepard Smith FOX is already using this.)

Reid will do everything he can do to keep the dems from having to take a stand on this.

Hold up raising the debt ceiling until a vote is allowed on Obamacare repeal.

For the Democrat Senators they have two choices:

1. Tell their supporters they are going to repeal ObamaCare because SCOTUS is going to kill it anyway.

2. Tell their supporters they are not going to repeal it because Obamacare is currently in the courts and therefore no need to do anything.

Either way the Democrat Senators have an excuse to keep the leftists from going ballistic.

I am not sure which is the worse choice for a Democrat.

At the same time, a Florida district court has struck down the entire health care bill:

If repeal passed senate then Obama would own this Bill by himself. He will have to face elections with this decision.

He/She ought to stay silent if that's the best they can come up with.

Make Obama veto it. Then attach it to all kinds of things that he wants. Make him choose. Bring the government to a stop if you have to. If he can't be maneuvered into signing it, he will be forced to defend it for the next two years, as he is trying to get re-elected by a nation that rejects it.

Actually, we have to depend on SCOTUS. They need 60 votes and that’s not going to happen. Even if it did Obama would veto it. The vote will be for show.

Did the judge void it for the state or all states?
