The eruption in Egypt has left White House officials scrambling to manage a major international crisis after briefly enjoying their best run in more than a year.
Were struggling to figure all this out, said a top official who was among the many White House advisers who spent the weekend calibrating the public and private diplomacy. President Barack Obamas closest aides are buoyed by a political resurgence, an embryonic but apparently real economic recovery and a White House reorganization that most West Wingers applaud.
But now these officials fret that new instability in the Middle East could distract from the jobs and innovation message that the president started pushing in his State of the Union address; dim hopes for a breakthrough in the peace process; and, most worrisome of all, stall the economy if the revolutionary tsunami spreads to other Arabian states, driving up the price of oil.

What, did they run out of pizza and martinis?
I have no doubts that this bunch of clowns in the white house will run out of stupid ideas and will revert to using Rush's opinions to save the county ( giving Rush no credit of course).
The Egypt situation really isn’t that complicated:
Things there suck, jobs are scarce.
They have a dictator.
The youth have Twitter and such and like to protest.
The Muslim Brotherhood is taking advantage of this to try to replace the Mubarak govt, which they hate because it maintains peace with Israel.
El Baradei is an opportunist.
As unappealing as he may be, Mubarak must remain in power.
The WH should use the opportunity to demand a commitment to greater democratic government, and additional support in pressuring Iran.
Were struggling to figure all this out,
How about a Beer Summit????
God help us.
Yeah, it’s a struggle to fit the crisis into Obama’s social schedule. Nice party they threw for Axelrod Saturday night. I understand many MSM types were there, including Tapper. I wonder if Couric got up and danced?
I don’t think they wanted Elbaradi and the MB...
they had someone else in mind, the question if it wasn’t them...
who?
Huh?
Notice how the immeadiate reaction is how this might be bad for him ?
Not America, just HIM.
It is not amazing that POTUS Obama is a totally incompetent across the board. What is amazing that an individual like Mike Allen (Politico) and his entire staff is naught but political spinners on behalf of the “Obama” failed presidency!!! Who’d have thunk America, the greatest nation in the world, would sink so low across the board. Time is short America!!! Best get awoken or end up like the Roman empire, destroyed from within, which is exactly what Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrat Party are doing to America!!!
I disagree. I think El Baradei was their selection from the planning stages of this ‘revolt’ last spring. Obama met with El Baradei and ElBaradei met with a bunch of leftist leaders back last September. El Baradei is the darling of the left. Found this quote by him last night:
The left wing plays a crucial role in political change all over the world, ElBaradei said, calling on all political stripes to unite for change irrespective of their political inclinations.
He also renewed his call for combining democracy with socialism in order to rescue Egypt from its longstanding political malaise.
Obama and the Islamists have been meeting the past few years as well. It looks to me that this is exactly what ‘they’ wanted.
The real question is did they do it in naivete and incompetence or with malice of forethought and high treason?
Neither Hillary or Zero are qualified to manage a McDonald's and yet Hillary is in charge of State and Zero is in charge of the Executive Branch.
This can't possibly turn out well.
Why aren't we supporting the rule of law?
The Obama Regime wasted the relatively peaceful time they had doing stupid stuff, most notably losing the confidence of the world when it comes to the Obama Regime’s ability to lead.
Obama Out of touch in the Middle East? This is soooo Unexpected!
obambi having trouble tieing his sneakers?
