President Barack Obama will visit Penn State University's main campus on Wednesday as part of a push for his new energy goals laid out in Tuesday's State of the Union address.
Details about the president's State College, Pa., visit will come later this afternoon, but Obama is expected to tour the campus and make remarks, said Jen Psaki, a White House spokeswoman.

My kids go to PSU and I have spent much time on campus. You have always had the leftist recruiters on college campuses, the religous zealots (I can remember them standing outside the Forum yelling ‘Fornicators’ at all the students walking by).
The student body at PSU has a strong Young Republicans Club and other more conservative organizations. Obama is only trying to engender PA votes and this will not work.
I do believe the 2012 race will be difficult to win for our side due to teh corruption and voter intimidation that will take place (legally thanks to Eric Holder). We MUST be prepared to fight equally as hard for our side, meet and defeat this administration at every spot. They fear the Tea Party because it is a voice for the silent masses that work every day supporting this country.
I don’t think Murtha Airport in JTown can handle AFWon either. So it would be quite the sojourn, in snow, to get to Happy Valley. Hopefully he will cancel...and Wed IS Ground Hog Day. Appropriate, ne c’est pas that iconic symbol, with no real value or base in reality, would dominate PA news mid week...but enough about Dear Leader. I wonder if Phil will see his Shadow?
FYI, Pennsylvania is one of the TEN states now mandating Official Certification of Eligibility for POTUS and VPOTUS in 2012. PAs House, Senate and Governor...all Rs. We are no longer a slam dunk for Duh Won. He WILL have to qualify to be placed upon the ballot.
Huh??? I guess he "forgot" nuclear. If you exclude nuclear and coal from the list, the percentage is approximately zero. Given that the greenies want to tear out the dams, and eliminate all coal entirely, the number truly is zero when nuclear is also excluded.
Too bad he's not visiting the State Pen.
There's an old Rocky & Bullwinkle episode where Boris Badenov comments on the same.
Q. Where did you go to school, Penn State?
A. Naaah, State Pen!
Cheers!
I am currently in the College Republicans at PSU and many of my classmates in the group with me are actually true Conservatives. We also have College Libertarians and Young Americans for Freedom-—another Conservative group. There is a Conservative voice here. In the college newspaper, an opinion columnist (and “journalist” major) bashed the GOP response the other day to the SOTU while providing no facts or examples. I typed a response to the editor pointing out the columnist’s incompetence and blind liberalism. and it got published and people were glad I got my view out there. There are Conservative voices here.
Can we get rid of Casey at the same time?
“Most of the students I know at PSU did not and will not vote for him”.
...that’s refreshing to hear! I hope that the ones that did heve opened their eyes.
He’s consulting with Joe to find out how he survived loosing seasons.
Summary of speech.
Coal bad.
Oil bad.
Green energy good.
Spend more money on green energy.

Thanks for your response. I’m especially glad to hear there is a strong Young Republicans Club. But the fact remains the school is controlled by Marxist “educators”. One can only hope that the mid-term conservative revolt continues and the left loses the Senate and WH.
Then the real hard work of reclaiming America can truly begin.
I don’t entirely share your pessimism about the 2012 elections. That said, they are the conservatives to lose if they don’t deliver in the House and fail to confront— openly, loudly and unequivocally— the Usurping Marxist residing in the WH and Marxism itself.
Thanks for your post. If you really are serious, you’ll find a way to get your questions out there.
I was a very passionate arm chair conservative most of my adult life (I’m 67). The extent of my public activism was writing the occasional “letter to the editor” and donating money to the national RNC.
Three years ago I went to my first street rally—a Tea Party event. It was very empowering.
Now I target my donations to candidates whom I believe to be conservative, continue to participate in Tea Parties and communicate with my representatives and senators when I feel the need.
I send “I’m watching you” emails to the newly elected conservatives for whatever that’s worth.
If you’re persistent you will get your questions the attention they deserve.
Best wishes for your life’s quest.
I appreciate your passion. However, Onada and his ilk are not Nazis. They’re Marxists. There is a big ideological difference between the two.
Words are important. These Marxist b******* need to be called what they are. They are not communists, progressives, liberals, leftists or socialists either. They are Marxists!
Marxists love being called something other than what they are because it helps them to hide their real agenda.
There is just too much in Federal grants to ignore.
This is nothing but an early campaign stop and a place to hide and a subject to change from the real world.
Any other candidate would have been ridiculed out of the campaign for that one!
I had heard PSU had absolved Mann of any wrongdoing. Do you know differently?
He carried Centre County (somewhat unusual for a Democrat).
