An analysis I read of the incident was that it was a sign she wasn’t a professional, that these phones are usually kept OFF until right before hand.
Wouldn’t have made any difference. If the phone was off-line, the text message would have stayed on the service. As soon as the phone was turned on, the message would be sent...BOOM!
