It's bad enough that Rep. Paul Ryan has to follow President Obama. Now the brainy Wisconsin congressman tapped to give the official Republican response to the State of the Union address must also compete for attention with Tea Party star Michele Bachmann.
Bachmann, a third-term Minnesota congresswoman renowned for lobbing rhetorical bombs at her opponents, plans to rebut the president's address in an online broadcast at the Tea Party Express website Tuesday night.
While Ryan's remarks will be carried by all the networks and cable news outlets as they happen, television news outlets have agreed to share a camera to record Bachmann's comments -- and some could choose to air them live.

Bachmann s getting in people ‘s spac. She needs to just go to the v=back of the bus? LOL.
The progressive Republicans will have Paul Ryan give a huggy wuggy response. Bachmann will give a genuine response about the bankrupt socialist policies being followed by Obama.THe American people need to know.
Who gives a sweet Eff about who is posturig for election. The very survival of our free Republic is at stake and the official GOP is acting as if it was not so.
Its bad enough that the Republicans will seat anong the dems, preventing a visual representation of the Nov. election results.
It is the GOP that is squishy. The TEA Party needs to establish that it is NOT fading away. Having a dynamic speaker like Bachmann expound on TEA Party beliefs is a bit different that crowning her absolute leader of all us Partiers. WE at the grass roots level need help.
We do lots of work, yes work, to estabish ourselves as a force that can hold local, state, and national elected types accountable. Bachmann helps us. Bachmann stays accountable.
It is discouraging that the GOP still wants to distance themselves from the Tea Party.
Good, Ryan is fiscon first-and-only. He and Cantor have already thrown socons under the bus.
Michele though is a true blue conservative through and through!
A little coordination couldn’t hurt.
Given identical input, the presentation on different networks should be enlightening.
‘just’ another republican,,,,, and that attitude means repubs intend to ignore tea so they can be repub. Go ahead,,,, watch what happens. I no longer see repubs as something to be tolerated in other to keep dems out. The repub agenda is meaningless to me,,,,,
I want true conservatism,,, no more co-opting and compromise.
I won’t be able to watch the rebuttal. I hope someone will post what she says. I have huges net :þ I hate it but, it’s the only thing I can get way out here.
I think history has shown that the Tea Party is "leaderless" until you put an attractive woman in front of it.... and then all the guys in the Tea Party movement start thinking with their little heads.
You never see such slavish devotion to anybody else....
I guess it's just impossible to discuss a female Republican without someone playing the victim card.
This is not going to go well for Ryan. By giving the Liberal RINO GOP response....he looks like one of them. If Bachmann’s response is good....Ryan is even bigger polictican trouble
Though, Ryan cannot be as bad as Bobby Jindal was last time. Jindal was awful
Ryan a progressive republican? Sheesh.
AMEN! That says it all!
You know..that is really nauseating. Oh well..let them play their little kiddie game..it won't change anything.
Keep up the pressure TEA party!
The GOP needs to enter the 21st century with a truly modern rebuttal - with animated graphics, video clips of citizens adversely affected by Obama policies, and responses to tweets and perhaps one phone call each from a skeptical Democrat and Independent. Mix it up and make it so cutting edge that Obama’s will look dull and stodgy by comparison.
LOL Jindal had a BAD backdrop that made him sound like Mister Rogers.
OMG! Isn’t that the same suit that Giffords was wearing when she read the First Amendment? Bachmann is wearing a trophy! I am afraid!!!
