Last week, the left was saying that conservatives from Sarah Palin to Rush Limbaugh and the Tea Parties had blood on their hands – that the right created the climate of hate that somehow caused/provoked/impelled/influenced a g-string-wearing, “Communist Manifesto”-touting psychopath (whose brains are “scrambled,” according to one of his professors) to shoot a Congresswoman in the head and murder a federal judge and five others.
This week, the Botticellis of bile are calling for civility and unity, asking everyone in politics (but especially conservatives, who, naturally, have the most to atone for) to dial down their rhetoric whilst a celestial choir hums Kumbaya in the background.
At a memorial service-cum-political rally (they even handed out T-shirts with the slogan “Together We Thrive”), President Butter-Wouldn’t-Melt-In-His-Mouth set the tone. “The truth is, none of us can know exactly what triggered this vicious attack,” the president soberly declared – after his minions had spent the preceding week telling us they knew exactly what triggered the attack: conservative talk radio, raucous town hall meetings, Arizona’s attempt to crack down on illegal immigration and Where’s-Waldo, played with Obama’s birth certificate.
“What we can not do is use this tragedy as one more occasion to turn on each other. That we cannot do,” proclaimed the president who’s spent the past two years savaging his opponents, telling Hispanics to “punish” their “enemies,” urging his supporters to bring guns to knife-fights, and sneering that Republicans "can come for the ride, but they gotta sit back" – presumably blindfolded and gagged.
In a classic example of the liberal disconnect from reality, in some cases the calls for civility and the smears went on simultaneously.

It was the usual Obama call for conservatives to STFU with the truth.
There are times it seems the folks at MSNBC are so driven by their liberal agenda that they're missing their own hypocrisy even when it happens on the same show separated by mere minutes.
Take for example Chris Matthews who moments after a lengthy segment Monday complaining about Glenn Beck and the so-called "violent rhetoric of the Right" ironically tied Tea Party members to "Nazi stuff" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
I called my Congressman’s office and expressed my sentiments about this BS. We sent them to DC to take care of business not to become eunuchs.
Speaking of the “new civility”, the loudmouth thug Ed Schultz today called Beck an anti-semite and accused him of calling for death threats to some old leftie woman. Nice “new tone”, Sgt. Schlitz.
The call for civility = a call for censorship. Just who is doing the accusing? They are the guilty party.
Tolerance = acceptance = approval.

But no one can tolerate me for what I am – a working American, and a Republican to boot.
So that is the problem here. We are under a repression of toleration (for everyone else). I am the “evil rich person”, the one who needs to be punished and taxed into oblivion. I love my local police, but here the police are blamed, the criminal turned into a victim or a hero. Where I live, they cut the police but feed the illegal aliens.
We are dying from toleration, while being blamed for everything and told to be “civil”. Toleration is killing me and my family, but I suppose the SF Bay Area isn’t alone. The plague is everywhere.
I want one defiant member - just one.

The divide between this strain of the American left and its conservative opponents is about more than politics and policy. It goes back a long way, it is deep, and it will never be bridged. It is cultural, and it explains more than anything the "intensity" that exists now between these two competing camps. (The independent laments: "Can't we all just get along?" Answer: No.)

One of my Facebook friends, who is a flaming liberal, posted one of those “TrueMajority end the violent rhetoric” bs, which actually translates: “Shut Conservatives Up”.
Well, here’s a news flash for all you trolls out there: We’re not going to be silent. We’ll continue to highlight your violence, your discrimination, your propaganda, your hate, your anti-American, pro-Communist, intolerant actions, your injustice, your crimes, your corruption.

Put “civility” in the crosshairs!
Only a call for civility when the Republicans have taken Congress. When they had control it was their way or the highway. Hypocrites!
Liberalism is a mental disease which at its root is a failure of moral values. It is the failure of moral values that can lead to mental illness. One of the hallmarks of the Left is the moral failing of hypocrisy.
It is from the Left’s practice of Alinsky method that the Left engages in the same hypocracy they try to destroy their opposition with: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.” The problem with the Left is the book of rules applies to them and they fail to obey those rules too.
The definition of hypocrisy according to the Websters 1828 dictionary is as follows: HYP’OCRITE, n. 1. One who feigns to be what he is not; one who has the form of godliness without the power, or who assumes an appearance of piety and virtue, when he is destitute of true religion. 2. A dissembler; one who assumes a false appearance. HYPOC’RISY, n. [L. hypocrisis; Gr. simulation; to feign; to separate, discern or judge.] 1. Simulation; a feigning to be what one is not; or dissimulation, a concealment of one’s real character or motives. More generally, hypocrisy is simulation, or the assuming of a false appearance of virtue or religion; a deceitful show of a good character, in morals or religion; a counterfeiting of religion.
Make no mistake. The Left engages in moral relativism which aims to destroy Christianity so there will be no judgment of their behavior. Liberalism always picks up the first stone because in their own eyes, they are without sin. It is a moral system that believes there is no sin in themselves when the ends justifies the means. I finish with David Horowitz’s statement: “Inside every liberal there is a totalitarian screaming to get out.”
