A pro-family organization that works to equip churches to transform the culture is defending a privately held, family-owned chicken restaurant that is under fire for providing lunches for a recent marriage seminar.
In addition to closing on Sundays to allow worship and family time for its employees, Chick-fil-A and many of its franchise owners across the U.S. have pledged to contribute to everything from marriage seminars to retreats and counseling for the employees of its 1,200 locations. The perk has gone largely unnoticed until recently.
"A local Pennsylvania Chick-fil-A decided to donate some box-lunches to a seminar called 'The Art of Marriage: Getting to the Heart of God's Design,'" reports Family Research Council (FRC) president Tony Perkins. "Since then, the fast-food chain has come under attack from liberals, who say these sandwiches are somehow a political statement against homosexuality."

If money can be free speech, certainly chicken sandwiches can be too, right?
So providing chicken sandwiches to a seminar supporting traditional marriage is now a statement against homosexulaity? The culture war has ratcheted up several notches in the past two years and the moonbats won’t be satisfied until they’ve forcibly crammed this perversion down everyone’s throat. The Churches are next.
I’m just waiting for the libs to pass a law stating that a business can’t be closed on Sunday. Gotta happen... you know.
it’s the only place where I will go plus they do so much for this town/schools and provide free burgers etc for those kids who reach the honor roll.
It’;s nice that a place will give a reward to kids who have worked hard to get where they are.
They also leave you with the comment of “have a blessed day” which is nice.
Every place of theirs which I have been to has been clean, and the staff helpful and nice.
They’re also have decent good food where I don’;t feel sick after eating it.
It’s definitely time to patronize Chick-Fil-A. Chicken sandwiches for lunch tomorrow.
I’ll stop at Chick-fil-A tomorrow for lunch. Not a big deal since I like their chicken sandwiches.
As of matter of fact, I’m going to start going to Chick-fil-A more often. Expect on Sundays of course.
I’m sure Chick-fil-A would comply with any such law by opening, say, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:01 a.m.
the homosexuals and many on the left just do not understand that the homosexual lifestyle is unnatural and that these people need mental help.
Telling them that they should have equal rights based on a sexual preference opens the door to consenting incest, animals and yes men with 9 wives.
Hell at least a man with 9 wives has sex which nature intended.
Expect should be Except. My bad.
going there tomorrow while I’;m in town now just to give them some business.
Why wait? They’re open for breakfast.
When I was young, there were laws prohibiting business on Sunday. That certainly was overly intrusive government I hope Conservatives today would not support.
BTW, the food at Chick Fil A is generally more nutritious than any of the food that Michelle Obama is trying to push onto school kids. It generally has less fat and salt, and fresher, less processed ingredients.

And when I ask for a large water with lemon slices, I actually get a LARGE water with lemon slices - FREE. Eat there every Tuesday with my son. It's not cheap, but the food is good and doesn't taste like "what part of the chicken?"
These protestors are deranged.
The horror! Why wasn't it burned to the ground! ;-/
WTF is wrong with liberals, really? Are they insane? Are they so filled with anger they are just looking for anything and everything to lash out at? Are they so bankrupt for workable ideas and ideals that they have to go with destructive hate all the time?
Wrong end.
