Allow me to add that though I won’t vote for him in the primary, if Romney gets the nomination, I walk over fire to vote for him. Obama must be defeated.

Mitt campaigned for the straw poll, had a presence there, pamphlets. Sarah Palin had no presence there at all, and she copped 7% of the vote.

If she had been there ,Romny would have tanked.

This is all so self serving. And sick. Mitt Romney has done NOTHING to fight OBAMA.And as a poseur, he pretends too be a “front runner?”

Romney is an effing wuss, and whats more, a liar and a cheat, by claiming himself to be a front runner. It makes him look really weak and just plain BAD.

The Paul-tards taught me that Straw-Polls are meaningless and easily fixed.

Sure, Paul or Romney can fix a straw poll, but when the real vote comes up, the tally shall be dramatically different.
Remember Paul won straw polls at 30-50%, and in the primaries he got 2 to 4%

Conservatives are the core electorate who show up in Primaries, and that leaves out guys like Paul and Romney.

That being said, Nobody in the northeast should be calling the shots in GOP.

It's about time to 'front-load' GOP primaries with conservative states...

Note paulcy statement: “JR generally runs the Mittbots like you off this site.” Then paulcy runs from the site when we ask for a simple explaination.

So now he uses Jim Robinson against me? Mr. Robinson can do what he wants on his own website but that does not discount the fact that as of today, Romney is our best bet. If we can not discuss the events of today on this website to its fullest then maybe long time people like me will begin to lose respect for it. So far I have not seen it so I will not take your word for it paulcy....

Humor, right?

Romney is no chance at all. Romney is Obama with an R after his name.

Cyclops08 is right about straw polls. Conservatives in some states show up but most of the moderates vote and they are (unfortuately) a large part of the Republican party. They nominated McCain and will do it again.

In the last election cycle I tried to support the only conservative, Fred Thompson.

but that does not discount the fact that as of today, [in Mere's opinion ]Romney is our best bet.

Your ad hominem attacks don't change the weak and insincere nature of your arguments.

Romney is electable. With a Republican Senate and the Presidency we can get what we want. The free market and a conservative Supreme Court.

Romney is the absolute worst choice, bar none, We don't need another Obama with an "R" behind his name in the oval office.

Have you been living in a cave for the past couple of years? Romney supporters and their ignorant comments, comparing him to, or linking him in any way to conservatives or conservatism are not welcome at F.R. That's not from me that's from J.R.

What makes you think Romney would appoint conservative S.C. justices? Certainly not his record as Gov. of Mass.

If Romney is anywhere on the Republican ticket, I and many others will vote third party or stay home. Wanna lose? Keep pushing Romney and your "many years" at F.R. won't mean squat.

I wish it was humor. Romney can get the moderates to vote Republican. Look at Brown in Taxachuttes.... I would love to have a Palin or like in that office. Unfortuately, on a national basis, it will be like Reid vs. Angle.

You and Ann Coulter do agree -———agreed that Romney couldn’t even win against John McCain and that he didn’t run for reelection in MA not only because he was going to run for President but because the liberal-moderates gave him low approval numbers

Your spin in insightful - The only reason Ross Perot was there and mattered was because Bush lost the coalition that Reagan built by raising taxes and being a moderate, if he was a conservative, Perot wouldn’t have stolen enough votes to give the election to Clinton. BTW: Bush did win on Reagans coattails that is a historical fact that helped him vs Dukakis...Reagan was still President in 1988 and his popularity grew back after Iran-Contra and the economy rebounding.

Your argument about Dole and McCain fits my argument that Moderates like Romney don’t fight back...heck, where was Mitt doing the debate on Health care? He gave like a few sentences in a speech in Dec of 2009 and made a comment in a few Boston articles

Sorry, no. - The TEA party candidate, Jack Kimball, took the chairmanship from the RINOs. This means no shenanigans from the party, giving Palin smooth sailing there after her Iowa victory.

Everywhere you look, things are shaping up for Palin.

This is the clarion call. There is going to be a mighty struggle on our side from this point on, but only if conservatives have the will to go the distance.

NO MORE RETREAD, REHASHED, RINO HAS-BEEN LOSERS!

I will NOT support someone because “its his turn” or “he can win, she can’t” or any of that other crap that I’ve heard for over 40 years in this stupid party! Its the main reason why I quit the “stupid party” years ago.

As conservatives, we really need to SPANK these rino idiots, and leave them with really big welts on their bums so they just go home and cry, which is right where they belong.

I love Rudie, but dude, last time I looked, YOU LOST. Put your ego back in your pocket and make a real contribution, GET BEHIND ONE OF THE NEW BREED AND HELP THEM OVER THE TOP! In that capacity, you can BE a game changer.

Neutered Grinch, Mittens Romknee, Mike Huckleberry and all the other LOSERS need to GTFO and STFU! JUST DAMN, when is the last time you saw the ratz recycle losers this way? Maybe its why they are always one step ahead?

We need to chase these losers back under their rocks and make sure they stay there!

This can be done, but there needs to be a renewed commitment to rid the ranks, once and for all, of yellow striped belly crawlers like Trent V.* Lott and all of his ilk. It can be done.

We succeeded in driving Benedict Arlen Sphincter out of the pack here. And even the ratz showed they had some inkling of sanity by unceremoniously dumping him in the swamps near the Philly airport, where the pond scum lives.

SHEESH, Won’t ANY of these fools EVER LEARN? /RANT>

Sorry, its been a long day and I just am having a real problem suffering fools.

*V stands for VACANT!

"..enough of the name calling..."

Pretty sure my daddy is dead and gone so who do you think you are?

Oh yea..the one who gets a tingle for another narcissistic big government man who comes from a "business" family that took part in the destruction of a once great city. Yea..we want that legacy (see long line of ill gotten gains on the backs of ordinary Americans)....for sure.

We ain't falling for it any longer. Someone has been leaving American behind in the dust for the high roads for decades. No more dynasty candidates.

I'm with the rest here..take your self important self and your long line of crooked demigods and get lost.
