FRESNO, California (KFSN) -- Earlier this week ABC30 showed you video of a woman who mistakenly fell into the fountain at a Pennsylvania mall, because she was distracted by text messaging. Well now that woman is suing the mall for not helping her.
The video has received more than 1.5 million views since it went viral on YouTube last week. The woman in the video, Cathy Cruz Marrero, doesn't think the video is very funny. She claims she could have gotten seriously hurt and that the security guards should have helped instead of laugh.
"I'm just like dumbfounded. And all I kept saying was, 'I fell. I fell. I fell in the fountain. I fell in the fountain.'"
Marrero has hired a lawyer to pursue legal action. The investigation is ongoing at the mall as to who leaked the video online.

The fountain was obviously in a texting path. The mall layout was obviously negligent, performed by architects and designers with no texting experience. Everyone with any relationship since the mall’s planning is liable for this horrific experience. The court should assess punitive damages for the gall of not foreseeing tragic incidents like this.
“Your Honor, can you honestly tell me YOU wouldn’t have laughed if you were there?”
My guess is that she’s and her ambulance chaser are hoping for the mall to do a make it go away settlement.

You each and every one have missed the point. The security company breached the contract and put the thing on You Tube. Now there is a major problem that the mall knows the company it hired for security is run by a bunch of craven retards. Yes, there is a problem. Someone is getting fired. Obviously some kid could drown in the fountain, the woman who worked at the mall was treated coldly, it is a cold awful world and you people just proved it in spades. The mall should be worried it has a major customer care problem because it does—it’s security company preys on the customers. Yeah, this is a big issue.
I move the amount of fame these idiots are entitled to be reduced from 15 minutes to 1/2 nanosecond...
