They dont like the truth, so they summarily dismiss it, he says. They say its a government takeover of health care a big lie. Just like Goebbels. You say it enough, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, and eventually people believe it. Like blood libel, he said, pounding his fist on the dais.
Thats the same kind of thing. The Germans said enough about the Jews and the people believed it and you had the Holocaust. You tell a lie over and over again. And weve heard it on this floor government takeover of health care.
... There is no government takeover, he said.
Cohens reference to blood libel follows former Alaska governor Sarah Palins use of the term to describe attacks on her from left-leaning pundits after the Tucson massacre earlier this month.

Perhaps the Leftists think the Nazis were bad because they outlawed the killing of Aryan babies. If they allowed for more baby killing then the Nazis would be wonderful defenders of freedom.
This is all assuming that the leftists have a coherent “moral code” beyond their base feral drive. It is still more likely that these THINGS will say, do, and even believe whatever they need to feed off their enemies, support their own selfish agenda, and consume the host in the process.
That and downgrading the quality and availability of medical care for the majority of Americans, and destroying the medical profession and other health care professions in the process.
This is not the first time that Cohen has gone on an outrageous rant on the House floor. But this comes on the heels of the 'Rats' innuendos about the "tone of the political debate" contributing to the recent Tucson shootings.
Cohen is just as off-the-wall as several other 'Rat colleagues in the House when it comes to grossly inappropriate rhetoric. Unfortunately, unlike the since departed Allan Grayson (for example), he was re-elected in November.
No no no! We need to make sure EVERYBODY hears his rants - just like with Alan Grayson.
Cohen is a dead soul democrat. lying is second nature to these vermin.
Yet another self-hating Jew.
Oh no, not even. The arrogance of his blindness is evidence of a demigod complex.
“...The right needs to come back HARD on this...”
The time to come back hard on this was 25 seconds after this stupid little commie pr*ck made the statements on the House floor. Every Republican in the place should have stood up and shouted the weasel down.
Interesting isn’t it...an International Socialist calling his opposition National Socialists.
“...Either Obama has lost control of his party members in congress...”
Flunkies and hacks would be a better description...
“...or bambis speech was given with a tacit nod and a wink knowing that he wasnt really serious...”
You are most likely spot-on there, Joe.
And if so, that’s fine.
Like an earlier article of a few days ago stated...I don’t want Civil Discourse either.

Rush made one of his RARE mistakes
cohen is a CAREER POLITICIAN 20 years as a TN State Senator, and is now a 3rd term US Rep.
cohen never met a tax hike he didn’t vote YES on.
I admit my error it’s 24 years, but I was right he’s never held a real job.

Stephen Ira “Stevo” Cohen (born May 24, 1949) is the U.S. Representative for Tennessee’s 9th congressional district, serving since 2007. He is a member of the Democratic Party. He previously served as a Tennessee State Senator for 24 years.
Tennessee’s 9th district includes almost three-fourths of Memphis. Cohen is Tennessee’s first Jewish congressman. Cohen is the only non-black representing a black majority district in Congress.[1]
While serving for three years as Legal Advisor for the Memphis Police Department, Cohen rose to political prominence when he was elected to the Tennessee Constitutional Convention of 1977 at the age of 27. The Convention elected him its vice president.[6] Cohen was then elected to serve as a commissioner on the Shelby County Commission, an office he held from 1978 to 1980.[2] During his time at the Commission, Cohen was instrumental in the creation of The Med, a community-funded regional hospital.[6] In 1980, Cohen served as an interim Shelby County General Sessions Court judge.[2] He has also served as a delegate to the 1980, 1992, and 2004 Democratic National Conventions.[2]
There is a popular belief in the Ninth District that Cohen's seat belongs to the Ford family.(Not the people but the Ford's)
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
There are reports that Loughner hated Bush. I’m sure he didn’t get that idea from the right, but we will never hear the MSM ponder such blasphemy.
Don’t his accusations actually fit the left better??? Their repeated lies have resulted in many citizens believing that ObamaCare can and will save us all.
Of course. The left always twist the truth to fit their needs.
Cohen the Kapo.
Yes indeed
For someone with the last name of Cohen to spew this ridiculous slander is reprehensible. Kapo. He is a disgrace to the Cohen name.
Thanks justiceseeker93.
