An abortion doctor has been arrested and charged with the murder of a patient and seven live infants whose spines were severed with scissors at a West Philadelphia clinic that has been described as a house of horrors, officials said today.
District Attorney Seth Williams said the doctor, Kermit P. Gosnell, was charged following a grand jury investigation.
Gosnell, 69, lost his medical license last year after health officials determined his clinic posed "a clear danger to the public."
Gosnell was arrested this morning, officials said. He has maintained his innocence.
The seven infants were born alive in the 6th, 7th and 8th months of pregnancy and killed by severing their spinal cords with scissors, William said.

And I don’t usually comment on repeat threads. But this story on the abortion doctor.... And the story on the Alabama Governor has been FReeped at least 6 times each today.
But you would not really know that unless you’ve been FReeping all day, or unless you use any other search functions besides FR search.
It’s well known that FR search functions suck. Me? I will use my browsers find feature (Control-F) or do a Google search.
When Obamacare pays good money for reproductive services, these unfortunate incidents won’t be necessary anymore.
Yes, in many ways it is. No heroes jumped in to stop this murdering man, and his victims came to him willingly, year after year.
And yet if some victim’s or close friend had turned on this practitioner surgeon of “Woman’s Health” and killed him dead as he moved to murder again — what would the headline have been?

Briefly, while Mr. Obama was serving in the Illinois state legislature, children who survived abortions at a Chicago area hospital affiliated with his church were being placed in a soiled utility room to die. Legislation was introduced to ensure basic human rights for these children. As chair of the Health & Human Services Committee, Mr. Obama voted against this legislation.

How is killing them after birth much different than killing them, say, 30 minutes earlier?

Kudos to Philly for prosecuting.
He killed many, many more than seven infants. His wife was also involved and he saved his “big kills” for Sundays. Sick! I am sure that NARAL will hire a lawyer to defend him. After all, “Who gets to choose?” Their slogans ring even more hollow.
