Do I believe God can speak to me through His word? Of course, but if what I believe counters the Bible then it is not from God.

That’s what I’ve said as well.
It doesn’t matter how strongly I believe something.
If the Bible contradicts my belief, _I_ am wrong. It’s not.
That’s what “ultimate authority” means.
