So true! Let’s hope she runs. I’ll tell you one thing, the media may not know it but they are setting up the best David vs Goliath contest America has ever seen! Sarah = David with a hand. Snobama = Goliath with a teleprompter.

Why won’t Huckabee go away??? He’s smooth and that worries me. The last thing we need is for him to be the candidate.
Apparantly he did well with socon voters. I don't know if he's running, but he could be a factor if he does run.
ps--I'm not a Huckabee guy, my name comes from Huck Finn. But I thought Huckabee showed a lot of skill. He made a lot of hay last time with very little money and very little name recognition. He could split the socon vote with Palin if he runs.
I think this time around the primaries will be similar to last time, with no clear leader.

Good Grief! Sarah has over 1/4 the vote among 8 candidates, over 2X the vote of her closest rival, and she’s not electable? wt*? I can’t understand how the media can have so much control over the people here. Hide and watch, because you’re going to be voting for Sarah in November ‘12 as she wins in a tremendous landslide!

remember, you have to capture independent votes as well as conservatives.
Most important is to get Obama the hell out of there. Put up viable candidates or we are doomed.

Going to the center for votes is a myth. 15,000,000 Conservatives refused to vote for McCain because he was from the center. When we run a strong Conservative, or on Conservative principles, we in in landslides. Remember Reagan, ‘94 and last November? Running a moderate/independent is a recipe for disaster. Run a strong Conservative, who can be easily contrasted to the democrat, and voters come out of the woodwork for the Conservative.

You could be right, a lot of divided loyalties, I’m afraid. To your comment about MH making a lot of hay last time - indeed. He stayed in there long enough to force Romney out, then promptly conceded himself. I’ve always thought he and McCain struck a deal. No, I don’t think MH’s a bad person, just way too liberal and politically correct for my tastes. He does have talent - as I said, he’s very smooth, the consummate diplomat (or politician) - handles questions and verbal challenges deftly, as evidenced on his tv show and virtually all appearances he makes on any network.

You’re really gonna catch it for that one :-) I always liked CC myself, then I started reading/learning more on here, after his tv appearance Sunday. I still like his guts, budget cutting and standing up to the unions as he’s been, but was greatly disappointed to learn he sides with Bloomberg in support of the ground zero mosque and that he’s evidently pretty muslim-cozy.

A very interesting interview with RR’s (good) son, Michael, last night on Hannity. In talking about now vs. then, he spoke of what a uniter his dad was, his talent for bringing differing sides together to accomplish things, BUT how he probably couldn’t get the nomination today or be elected, because he wouldn’t please conservative purists. His famous 80/20 philosophy likely would rile them.
We have to remember who the enemy is, folks, and no staying home in ‘12 by any of us who don’t get the candidate of our first choice. That could’ve made a difference in ‘08 and would for sure in ‘12.
Don’t get me wrong, my heart sank when Juan McCain won the primary and calling him a moderate is putting it mildly. But would I rather have seen him in the White House than the one we got? Hell, yes. I knew what a danger BHO was before the election. Would all those who didn’t, but see it now, still give away their votes to him by staying home sulking? I hope the answer to that is HELL, NO!
PS - the main reason McCain lost, at least by as much as he did, wasn’t because he was a “moderate” - it was because he ran a crappy, seemingly half-hearted campaign and spent as much time being Obama’s cheerleader as being his opponent. He either wimped out or some kind of evil deal was made.
I agree mclame ran a cr*ppy campaign, but the fact remains that 15,000,000 Conservatives stayed home instead of voting for a freight train to socialism as compared to a rocket ship to socialism. Everytime we run a moderate, or have been acting like moderates in congress, we lose. Everytime we run a strong Conservative, or on Conservatives ideals in off year elections, we win landslides. You can set your watch by it.
“His famous 80/20 philosophy likely would rile them.” Voters rushed to vote for Reagan because of his Conservative Philosopy, he later took 80% because Americans put democrats back in Congress, and 80% was all he could get in the end game because of that Congress. In ‘12, particularly with Sarah as the POTUS Candidate, we will have everything, including Congress. Americans are sickened by democrats, and the evil democrats are now showing everyday us who they fear most, and that person is Sarah Palin.

McCain didn’t win for anyone. The whole problem with McCain was he was a bad choice from the get go. You are twisting what I said into your own argument for Palin.
There are other very conservative people who would be acceptable to us conservatives and not shunned by the independent votes.
It is not a Palin or nothing here. She is so hated by the left that they will take independents who vote at the last minute to the democratic ticket through straight smears.
The problem with Palin is she is so hated by people that it is ingrained in them now through the media. They don’t have a reason and can not articulate one thing that they dislike about her, but they would never vote for her.
this is not about us liking her or thinking she would be best. It is purely to get Obama and the left out of office.
We have to make sure that the republican ticket will win and Palin is so hated by so many that there will be a very high turn out against her.
Much like the 2010 election, people were not voted in but rather people were voted against. This is how most elections happen.
We need to make sure that our candidate has a better appeal than Obama who is still very high in the likability polls. People may not like his policies, but they like HIM. It is clear from almost every poll out there. People are generally stupid. They will not look at policy, they will vote with their gut. If they like someone they will vote for them period.
