Less than 18 seconds. That's how long it took two young women to climb a U.S.-Mexico border fence that costs millions of dollars in taxpayer money.
In a video shot by filmmaker Roy Germano, two women show how easy it is to reach the top by climbing the fence's concrete-filled steel pipes in less than 18 seconds, MyFoxHouston.com reports.

Well, hell.. let’s just create little accessible compartments so they can slide their weapons through more easily. If they’re going to occupy parts of the United States, why make it hard for them?
That ain’t the US border fence. That’s a relic
As was noted in the video - much or even most of the fence was not built to specs. It was supposed to be a Double fence with a patrolled road in between with all kinds of sensors detecting the intruders in the road in between the fences. And the concrete filled pipes with out other barriers was not a part of the approved design.
Where built correctly - the fence works. Build a car incorrectly and it doesn’t run or run well. So it is no surprise that the border fence doesn’t work along much of its length.
Unlike other countries, we are not allowed to use it. The Southern Poverty Law Center, ACLU and the Mexican government disapproved.
So there can be no objection by the La Raza & Reconquista folks, can there?
These fences do not work, who are we kidding—it is all about supply and demand, where there is a demand for workers in the US, there will always be an endless supply of immigrants to do the endless service jobs, whether temporary or full time.
When and Where there is a demand for drugs by Americans..fences will not stop the supply.
Immigrants do not necessarily want to live here, vote here, pay taxes here and become citizens; they just want a job or second job while continuing to live in Mexico etc.
To think that everyone who wants a job in the US wishes to give up living in their own country, the family nucleus-which is a proud heritage no matter the economic status, is a real misnomer.

That thing is just such a total waste of money. A completely conventional double hurricane fence, topped with barbed wire, an anti-vehicular ditch and a couple rolls of concertina wire out front, with a patrol road between the two fences and sensor towers every so often would be way cheaper and (properly manned and maintained) 99% effective.
If the only people who got across the border were young girls strong enough to climb the fence that way, I think we could live with that. Strong, healthy teen girls aren’t the real problem with illegal immigration.

Yep. Tell a old, former, East German border guard that fences can’t be made effective. I’ll bet he will tell you otherwise.
Well, yes.
Not just that, but its sort of a test for the fittest of the illegal aliens. Anybody who can climb this fence like this is in pretty good shape. If we are going to keep them anyway, better make sure we get the best specimens.

But the libs would cry it evil if we had snipers and heavy machine guns like the Eastern side of the Berlin Wall did. Yesterday, it seemed like the libs were communists. Today, they sound like something even funnier: the rejects of the Communists.

The manning of the border is the real issue. The fence is just something to slow them down, but by itself is ineffective. Once again, America needs to learn from the Israelis.

Umm... Ya, and I find nothing wrong with that. Do you? If you electrify the fence it can maim and injure. So could
concertina wire. Is being injured that way, morally, more acceptable than being shot? After the first few fence climbers are shot off of it, allot fewer will try. So armed guards in towers may mean FEWER injuries.
Not many people succeeded in getting through the East German border fence, because it was SHOWN to be DANGEROUS.
If you make the fence 10 feet higher - with no other deterrent - they will climb 10 feet higher and go over.
Better yet, a seawater moat, 25 feet wide, inhabited by sharks with frickin' lasers!
