Division Is Destroying the “United” States
http://ncfreedom.us/2011/01/division-is-destroying-the-united-states/ | 1/18/2011 | David DeGerolamo

Scott Brown has taken a stand that most people would not find to be courageous. Whatever Mr. Brown’s motives are concerning his seating at the state of the union address, it should serve as an example for the country. We will never keep our freedom unless we come together and make the hard decisions necessary to implement fiscal restraint in Washington.

“I’ll sit where ever they put me. I don’t care,” Brown said at the Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast in Boston. “That’s the type of attitude we need to have not only in Washington but here in our local political system where people need to forget about the little itty-bitty letter behind my name and other people’s names and just kind of get going and get our jobs going and do what’s best for this state and this country.”

I want to suggest that this position is what our country founding fathers had envisioned for our future. Our strength lies in our unity. If you want to weaken a nation, division from within is the best method over time. By making us the Divided States of America, our nation will fall into tyranny and the freedom that we have enjoyed (and taken for granted) will be replaced by slavery.

The shooting in Arizona is an excellent example of how our elected “leaders” and the media will not let a crisis go to waste. The list of divisive issues such as healthcare, social justice, taxation and immigration are media mainstays.

George Washington warned us about so eloquently in his farewell address about political parties.

“It (the party system) serves to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration….agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one….against another….it opens the door to foreign influence and corruption…thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.”

Our country needs leaders that will put aside both political party affiliation and compromise. If we do not find these principled leaders, our republic will fall.

Just another Washington statist. The Republicrats are just one big party after all.

Mo’ deficit

Mo’ spending

Mo’ government

Mo’ restrictions on freedom and liberty

Less “division” (we don’t need those sheeple knowing how to get rid of us)

The article left out how this would happen.

Who benefits from our division?

Go ahead, say it.

Anyone know about Hotelling’s Law?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotelling’s_law

In politics, to get a majority of voters it is tempting to move towards the middle.

But the Democrats/Communists move farther and farther left (towards tyranny) dragging the “center line” to the left.

So, division is actually created by the left, not the right. By not challenging their hateful, simple-minded attacks, we fall prey to the Hotelling Law.

This is BS, newb. Division isn’t destroying the country.

The reasons are far more complex than the issue of division. It involves the systematic ideological implementation of a government that is anti-American and anti-liberty. It is the systematic effort by those on the Left to redefine and remake America into a Socialist/Communist society.

Eh, I'd look to Duncan Hunter or LTC West for leadership. Scott a unprincipled GOP liberal. Really the only reason to keep him around is he might be needed for a USSC vote and he is probably the best you can get out of Massachusetts. His complicity in homosexualizing the military was disgraceful.

“I’ll sit where ever they put me. I don’t care,” are not principled words. They are the mewlings of a subject, eager to accommodate.

I’m not too happy with a lot of what the (r)’s have done recently, but making nice with the architects of America’s destruction is the wrong direction and I hope that the rest of them don’t fall for it.

These folks are funny. Fighting over seating. Just start with Alabama. The senior senator followed by the junior senator. Then the House of Reps Senior to Junior and on from there. It is not hard. Sheesh I could have easily put this together in about one hour MAX. I find it funny that they will fight over seating but not our debt. BTW, we STILL do not have a budget passed and this is since October. Unbelievable. But they are still fighting over seats.

I think that we could argue that the march to Socialism started under Wilson (or even Teddy Roosevelt). The gains that the Democrats were able to make in 2008 allowed them to accelerate the pace.

But I thought diversity was a strength and not a weakness. That’s what they’ve been telling us for the past 30 years that diversity was strength, and our greatest strength.

Where was the unity when Pelousy and the rest of the statists were jamming Obamacare down our throats? Screw unity. Conservative principles restored to our nation. That’s the kind of unity I want.
