Repeal vote just the first step for Republicans on health care
Politico ^ | Jan. 17, 2010 | Carrie Budoff Brown

The highly anticipated vote Wednesday to repeal the health care reform bill will make headlines and count as a promise kept by House Republicans.

The real work begins immediately afterward, with Republicans using every legislative and political tool at their disposal to wage a two-year campaign against the overhaul. And there won't be anything subtle about this slow-drip strategy as Republicans aim to erode public confidence in the law and, they hope, make it so politically unpalatable that even some Democrats turn against it.

Attach an Amendment here or there, too, to remove all the Czar’s and their Staffs, which are not provided for in the Constitution in any way, shape, or form, and are accountable to NO ONE of importance at all.

I’ll believe it when I see it - not a second before.

REPEAL, OVERTURN, NULLIFY, OBLITERATE OBAMIECOMMIECARE.

Absolutely first priority (after stopping the abortion/infanticide - that's always on the top of the list).

Twenty-three rat senators up in 2012?

I guarantee that at least several want the chance to vote against the Obamacare they voted for in 2010. Now, they will have to convince a safely reelected Dingy Harry to bring it to the floor, but that is their concern.

How many of them will jeopardize their jobs for a law that is killing their reelection chances? With well over 10% real unemployment, maybe they figure Hussein will be challenged in a primary. Why risk all for weak President over an upopular and job killing law?

Holy crap is politico spinning for the dems or what!

ObamaCare IS politically unpalatable. It needs dumped and
started over. I saw on the news that SOME dems are going to let it get repealed and fixed and the media are ticked.

What the Republicans have failed to do, is establish an, "air of inevitability" about the repeal of ObamaCare.

Pelosi succeeded in doing this, with the help of others, when she said, “We’ll go through the gate. If the gate’s closed, we’ll go over the fence. If the fence is too high, we’ll pole-vault in. If that doesn’t work, we’ll parachute in."

The Republicans don't even need metaphors, they can say, "We'll vote to repeal in the House, we'll deny funds in budgeting, we'll have it struck down at the Supreme Court, or we'll grant each state an exemption - but we WILL REPEAL THIS BILL !

Absolutely first priority (after stopping the abortion/infanticide - that's always on the top of the list).

Dream on the pubbies had all three branches at one time, and none of this happened.

There are many deals to be made, and fiefdoms to be established in this diversion.

I wish I could believe otherwise. Posted elsewhere on FR today was McConnel's little trip used to peel of some of the TeaParty stars.

no bias here..the law never had any public support..but to read that you would think it is so popular and those mean GOPers are fighting the will of the people..no bias here..

Remember that Wall Street Rahm has his sticky fingers in Medicare/Aid billions and O/care billions. When he got in as Ohaha's COS, Rahm put his brother Dr Zeke in charge of Medicare/Aid and O/care.

This Wall Street scuzzball Rahm is an expert at looting and pillaging govt money piles. Rahm Emanuel knows how to make money disappear faster than a cream puff at a Weight Watcher weigh-in.

"Professor" Obama surrounded himself with Wall Street shrewdies---like Wall Street Rahm. They will have billions at their disposal. They are helping themselves to billions as we type.......Keeping a permanent Dem majority is at the top of the list.

HOW GANGSTER GOVERNMENT SCAMS TRILLIONS----THE MADOFF MO Ponzi Madoff created a supersecret labyrinth of interrelated international funds, institutions and financial entities of almost unparalleled complexity and breadth......with assets and businesses in multiple places overseas that hid thievery, money launderering and tax evasion.

=====================================================

Novelist Dean Koontz stated in a public forum that at least $70 BILLION has been stolen by the Obama administration.

===========================================================

Was Dr Zeke Emanuel spit-shining his penny loafers when the subject of "O/Care death" panels surfaced?
