Every single Russian that I have met who grew up under Soviet rule is a staunch conservative in America
It is without exception, they have seen the horrors of government over reach and came to America to escape it

Back in 1964 when I first voted for POTUS, I was working with a gal who was born in Latvia. She and her parents were staunch Republicans. They had fled the communists following WWII. They had a German name, so I think they may have been expelled. But, they had absolutely no time for any Communists. Her father had been in the Latvian army before the war.
