Chances are they really were Cops just looking for a few extra bucks, Not sure about this area, but where I used to live in California, the Vast Majority of Cops are as corrupt as humanly possible. I have not had that experience since moving to AZ.
Maybe they were real cops.
It is getting hard to tell the difference.
“They wore dark masks and clothing with what looked like some type of police insignia on their jackets.”
My first thought, ban dark masks and jackets with police type insignia.
Wheew, I guess I have been listening to liberals too much!!!
5 guys wearing FBI jackets carjacked a woman in Buffalo last week. They made her drive to her house where they robbed her. They weren’t FBI.
As are incidents of police kicking in the wrong door. Sooner or later there will be an incident of dead officers and dead innocents because of it.
That's why you should be prepared and equipped to kill anyone who enters your home through force.
Any legitimate representative of the state should know better than to invade a home while screaming vile threats, obscenities and brandishing a weapon.
With the number of no-knock raids, and police impersonators barging in to homes, a law-abiding gun-owner needs to figure out ahead of time what his reaction to this would be. This type of situation would be almost certain to end badly, no matter what course of action you choose.
1. It is the police, you don't engage them, and they don't kill you, your family, and your dog. (Time to contact your lawyer.)
2. It is the police, you don't engage them, but a cop gets too much adrenaline going, and family members are shot.
3. It is the police, but you didn't know it and you fear for your life, so you do engage them, and people on both sides die.
4. It's impersonators, but you thought they were real cops and you don't engage, your house is looted, you are killed, your wife is raped and murdered.
5. It's impersonators, you do engage, your training is effective, and the world is rid of a few thugs. (Time to buy more ammo.)
What are your thoughts?
