BEDICO, LA (WAFB) - A 31-year-old man who authorities believe was shot in self-defense was charged with second-degree battery after he allegedly beat his father.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said Dominick Richard was allegedly shot by his own father when the son allegedly attempted to force the father to give him money for drugs.
Investigators said Richard brutally beat his father on Nov. 9 when his father wouldn't give him money for drug and then Richard knocked his father unconscious.
Richard was charged after he was treated and released from the hospital.
they waited to charge himso they wouldn’t have to pay the medical bills.
That is what I understood the reason to be. The bills still get paid from tax money, though. I suppose that if he had any assets, he could be billed this way, where if he were arrested he might not be liable for the bill.
If he had any assets he wouldn't have had to beat his father.................
“If he had any assets he wouldn’t have had to beat his father.................”
LOL!
You are almost certainly correct, but people who abuse drugs are not always rational. For that matter, it is hard for all people to always act rationally.
I was thinking on the way to work this morning about all these shootings everywhere everyday.
I wondered if there was a way to check the voter registrations of the perps and the defenders, since motor-voter has made nearly everyone, legal or illegal, a register voter.
I bet the (D) to (R) ratio would be extreme................
