Busy Monday as normal. I just came in from starting and running my car for a few minutes. It is so cold out there, and sitting in my cold car has chilled me to the bone.

My Dad cooked last night....a pork loin roast and whipped potatoes. He did an excellent job! It was yummy!!!!

And then we sat down and worked a crossword puzzle together.

Praying to Be Heard

Consider the two young boys who are spending the night at their grandparents.

At bedtime, the boys kneel beside their beds to say their prayers. Suddenly, the younger boy begins yelling, “I PRAY FOR A NEW BICYCLE. I PRAY FOR A NEW NINTENDO. I PRAY FOR A NEW VCR...”

His older brother leans over, nudges him, and says, “Why are you shouting your prayers? God isn’t deaf.”

“No,” his little brother replies, “but Grandma is.”
