TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Pima County sheriff's spokesman Jason Ogan says mass shooting victim James Eric Fuller, 63, remains at a Tucson hospital Sunday on an involuntary psychiatric hold, for a mental evaluation.
Fuller was taken to a hospital Saturday afternoon by sheriff's deputies who arrested him on misdemeanor charges - for making a threat and for disorderly conduct - after Fuller told Tea Party leader Trent Humphries after a town hall event: "You're dead."
Fuller confronted Humphries after the taping of an ABC-TV Sunday news show Saturday at a local church.
The town hall event was organized by ABC-TV and focused on the Jan. 8 mass shootings and the aftermath.
Fuller was invited to the taping, along with other shooting victims and "heroes" and by ABC producers to take part in the event, hosted by Christianne Amanpour.
Fuller was obviously upset by some remarks made by Humphries, who - at the taping - defended the Tea Party's political rhetoric during Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords' reelection campaign.
Fuller is recovering from being shot in the knee and the back.
Moments after he was taken into custody, he asked the deputies who grabbed a hold of his arms and hustled him out of the town hall event to slow down, "please," telling them that he was a shooting victim and in pain.
"You're not in a hurry are you?" he asked them.
Ogan said that while Fuller was being escorted out, deputies decided he needed a mental health evaluation and he was taken to a hospital.
Some critics have blamed the heated political rhetoric of the mid-term campaign for the shooting. Six people were killed and 19 others were injured.
Fuller was at the Safeway store at Ina and Oracle Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. when a lone gunman opened fire, shooting Giffords, him and others, and killing a 9-year-old girl who was attending the congresswoman's first "Congress on the Corner" public event of the new year in her congressional district.
She had no police protection at the event.
Giffords was shot in the head at close range and is the most seriously wounded of the victims. She remains in intensive care at University Medical Center and is on a feeding tube.

And the narrative is ‘adjusted’. He told the officers they were all whores.
According to someone at the event he was disruptive for most of the time. Making negative comments and when asked to calm down he came back with the question.......did you vote for him......meaning the tea party person speaking.
Depending upon the psychologist who does the evaluation, he’ll either be “crazy as a loon” or “as sane as you and me”.
He says he did, but he doesn’t seem the type, does he?

While I think this guy is out of line and should be arrested for threats, This Mental evaluation stuff is Sheriff Dipstick covering his already exposed ***.

I watched the video of this clown being walked out after arrest. I’m not buying that this jerk received anything other than minor scratches, perhaps from bullet fragments. I have had knee injuries... there is no way that a 9mm hit his knee.
Fullers injuries seem to be John Kerry type injuries.
Also, Fuller goes down during the shooting and was soon after able to walk to his car and drive to the hospital. Too bad that coward didn’t get up and join in subduing the shooter.
Fuller is a big mouth, arrogant lib and a coward.... nothing more.
Well, it’s a start.
The other thing too is, if he was in the libraries for a decade after he got out of the military and you go back 10 years that would be 1984. The Vietnam war ended in 1975. The years don’t add up right. If he were having issues you’d think it would have been in the 70’s to maybe early 80’s not the mid 80’s. Who knows. I wonder if anyone is looking into this?
