That should be improved on, that is a horrible mistake, but if you stop enforcing the law you will turn the country into an episode of “Escape From New York”.
What happens when rank and file officer break the law they were sworn to uphold?
Apparently nothing. They can violate your basic rights without a warrant and go unpunished. It damages the public’s view of law enforcement if they are not held to the same standards as the public they protect.
