It dawned on me a few minutes ago, while listening to another Democrat calling for reduced rhetoric.

The answer is LEAD BY EXAMPLE, DEMOCRATS!

Instead of asking Republicans to tone down, Democrats need to do it first before any of us should stop. Let them admit they were wrong to start this fight and maybe we can get along better. Once they appologize to Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, Limbaugh and other conservatives maybe we will reduce our attacks of retaliation against them.

He’s road-testing an importanat theme in a rough environment: how to face down public employee unions. If he’s able to script this , wade though the liberal counterattack, he delivers an essential component of a Republican platform nationwide. I agree, the rest of what he says and does is negative ( though I did like the way he pulled the plug on that rail tunnel to Manhattan boondoggle).

Which is why we need to stay on message and not let this Tuscon distraction divert us. This is simply a smokescreen to allow them to steal our Country.

Exactly bray.!

I said as much last week.

What the hell is going on in the background while we all muse over a whacked out mass murderer.

It's probably worse than that.

Looks like the DNC has the DBM ready to stay with this until the state of the union and then plug that for as long as they can hoping there will be yet another diversion after state of union. These clowns are slick as oil.(Crude that we don't have)

Meanwhile we have no budget, no oil,no energy,no money and every predator country in the world from china to Iran to NK is closing in on us with no fear.

I agree, but I have to say, it does provide a pretty start contrast to Democrats blatant partisanship and their repression of opposing views in congress since 2006. A real stark contrast. So I can see why its being trial-ballooned.

That doesn’t mean I agree with it. I don’t. Personally, I think turnabout is fair play. How can leftists argue against policies they themselves encoded into the rules of the house?

But this isn’t a battle against leftists. It’s a battle to educate all Americans what the Tea Party and conservatives stand for. It’s a LOT more inclusive than democrats have ever been. So I am on the fence with this one.

lol, thanks Seattle Conservative. I saw that post on the FR thread. The only Civil Discourse I’ve had with liberals is when talking about gardening (stay away from talk of pesticides), fishing (stay away from the dangers from PCB’s, etc), and cats (cats aren’t controversial).

.....oh, yeah, and cooking tips (just assume they use organic ingredients/free-range critters and adjust their recipe).

I concur.

I’ve noticed that she’s slowed down her apeech a bit, too lately (especially in the video), which I thought she needed to do. She has a lot to say and most of it is/was good; however, I thought she spoke too quickly and tried to get too many points across sometimes for some people to hear and grasp what she was saying. I don’t mean to imply that I think most people are too dumb to grasp her points when she speaks quickly, I mean that I think that more people will listen and learn if she slows it down a bit - instead of zipping from 1 point to the next - - it gives people a chance to really hear and digest what she’s said. That said, I realize that she often only has so much time on most shows. No one can accuse Sarah of filling her statements and answers with a lot of uhs and umms, like he who shall not be mentioned.

The NYT is already writing their glowing reviews of the SOTU. Apparently it was the best delivered speech since Lincoln.

“Delivery, tone and writing were all perfection, it made me weep as opposed to Sarah Palin’s damaging screed that destroyed any chance she had for his Lordship. Once again he showed the world what civility is”

Pray for America

Now, Now you know it does not work that way, we Republicans are always wrong and they are always right.

If they didn't have a double standard for us and the ability to lie when their mouths are open they would become an endangered species.

Someone who reacts appropriately to right and wrong?

Of course such a person is the enemy!

Because they all are playing the same board game, it’s called POLITICS!

Applicable reactions to right and wrong are anathema for the reaction should always be based on the political gain or loss.

They love their little game, the liberals and the Media, the Blue Blood RINOS when they are invited. When they are not invited to play they get sad.

A Sarah Palin, a somebody who can sneer at their game and act like....heh, common sense...damn they hate common sense.

All they can do is jump up and down like hooting and hollering monkeys, saying anything inappropriate to us folks out here in lala land but quite appropriate to those sitting in on their parlor game.

The Tea Party, dang how they hate us all messing up their cool cool game played with by only cool cool folks...the Tea Party isn’t going anywhere.

For it’s when their silly game messed up our lives that we begin to infringe on their games.

Wouldn’t it be great if Sarah Palin delivers the Republican response to the SOTU?

(Just wishing.)

Sounds like the same discourse I’ve had w libs (though I do get a point in here and there with - - oh, did you hear blah, blah, blah - -yes, it was in the NEWS ;-) Sometimes I even say I heard it on Fox news.

I find that I ususally can speak about kids with them, too - - I’m just careful to whom I mention my nephew goes to a Catholic school that has EXCEPTIONAL teachers and don’t say anything about the teachers’ union (or any union for that matter in the Peoples’ Republic of Seattle).

For I wrote you out of great distress and anguish of heart and with man tears, not to grieve you but to let you know the depth of my LOVE for you. 2 Cor 2:4 Now that Global Warming has fizzled the DNC is running out of reasons not to produce energy. How do you have a healthy economy w/o cheap and plentiful energy? It is becoming very clear to all of America there are no good economic reasons not to produce and only their cult worship causing our 15-20% unemployment. Can anyone explain why Boehner and our leaders won't talk about fuel prices??? It's killing our economy (that is Obama's fault)...gas should be $1.00 / gallon in this country if our leaders would do the right things (eliminate blends of gas, drill off shore, drill in ANWR, build another nuclear plant or 10, build another refinery or 10, drill in shale, develop natural gas engines, etc.).

You're right. De-institulization was awful - and it was done by 'feel-good' LIBERALS.

Liberals saw 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' and decided inmates were the brilliant but quiet Indian types... more sane then the people running the place, and inmates needed to BE FREE. Free to be victims of violence, free to beg on the streets, free to cause civil breakdowns...

As usual liberals were 'feeling good about themselves' based on nothing but feelings - the evil and misery - not to mention homelessness, jumps in street crimes, violence, and despair, were NOT their fault. They ( the liberals) had the best of intentions and they felt sooooo good about themselves.

That said, what they're up to now is to use this tragedy to create systems that will hurt free speech, create gulags, and move the marker toward 'totalitarian'.

Yes, we do have to deal with the issue of mental illness - but not by dems with hidden political agendas.

Dems want to define those who oppose their ideas as 'mentally ill'. They've moved in that direction already. Too bad our 'we suck less' press can't look into this - see the changes that have been made about what is and isn't 'mentally ill'. It's political. Which is why they wouldn't be able to 'see' it anyhow. Is having a gun collection a sign of mental illness now? I believe there's been movement in that direction. Or opposing homosexual 'rights'. These are political issues that are bleeding into mental health.

These issue needs open debate - not the MSM providing cover for liberals and mocking conservative concerns - not more blood libel... not double standard coverage. But we all know that's not going to happen... So we wait, trying to stop them from making a bad situation worse...

Citizens can deal with more than one problem at a time - right now, this one is on the plate. It has to be looked at...

This is dangerous stuff the MSM and the Left are playing with.

I'll say it. They want her out of the game. Alive, or dead. They're absolutely determined she shall be locked out of running for president.

Sadly, I believe they'll succeed. I hope she survives their efforts.
