Charlie Sheen (left) and his lawyer leave a court hearing.
How does Charlie Sheen do it?
After a series of wild nights with porn stars and booze, hospital stays, and well-publicized arrests, his employer still has his back.
A top exec at CBS said Friday that the network is concerned about Sheen's off-camera behavior, but it hasn't affected his work as the star of television's most popular comedy.
"We have a high level of concern," said Nina Tassler, CBS entertainment president. "How can we not?"
The actor's recent headlines have included a wild night that left a New York hotel room in shambles and sent Sheen to a hospital, and a guilty plea last summer to assaulting his wife in Aspen, Colorado.

The show is filthy, just like his public behavior.
Or, maybe there's an chemical explanation of some kind - like they've both embalmed themselves with the obscene amounts of alcohol they've each consumed.
In any event, one has to really question a universe that takes a beautiful 9-year old little girl, but let's us keep Charlie Sheen.
It’s an amazing situation.
CBS is paying Sheen a bunch of money to simply be himself. Seriously, if you watch the show, you think that his exploits in real-life are no different than the character he plays on the show!
And it’s a hilarious show. Rude, crude, and socially unacceptable, and frankly, I’m shocked that it’s on during “prime time.”

Yeah. It’ll go along funny for about five minutes, and once you laugh at the relatively innocuous jokes; BAM! they hit you with the most vulgar garbage imaginable coming out of the little kid’s mouth. I’ve been done with it since the first. It’s filth. They’ll dump him when they use him up for merchandise.
Hollywood has a history of protecting its stars.
It was well known that Eroll Flynn was a huge drunk and womanizer.
William Holden got so drunk that he tripped in his own home, gashed his head open and bled to death.
The studios protected Spencer Tracy as he repeatedly went on drinking binges -and hid his affair with Katherine Hepburn.
Judy Garland was addicted to uppers- which were supplied to her by the studio.
Debbie Reynolds was pressured to take the same drugs by the studios.
And on and on and on.
Nothing new here.
It was well known that Eroll Flynn was a huge drunk and womanizer.

You left out the best part...acquitted of statutory rape and hence the old phrase “in like flynn”.
Just like Michael Jackson, or Elvis - they are stars, so the people around them cater to their needs, regardless of how degrading it may be.
This is sick! What’s wrong with America? I guess its all about the money.
He’s making enough money i don’t think he cares.
Don’t be sorry for the double post, now post a half post for the full two and a half. LOL
His real life adventures probably improve the show’s ratings. That’s why CBS doesn’t have a problem with his behavior.
He’s starting to look deranged.
If you have kids, and YOU are watching this nasty crapola, you are setting a VERY bad example for them......imho.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they exaggerate his off screen behavior. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s trying to make the news. It’s just good PR.
That's true for any employee of any organization (except Gov't employees) in a free market...
That's capitalism
You are probably right.
Charlie merely practices what he preaches.
IMHO he is the 1/2 man!
If I had kids in the home, I would agree with you.
My kids are grown up and living on their own.
I agree that this program is a morals free zone. Still, I think you can’t help but see what an empty life Charlie has. And you know what, seeing that played out may not be such a bad thing after all.
Almost anyone who watches the show thinks it’s a mirror of his real life. And most people recognize that life is rather pathetic.
Thanks for the mention.
