"Gun control is too simple a phrase to define all the complications and nuances of it, frankly. In Arizona they have a wide open system. I would be nervous about going into a bar or restaurant in Arizona on a Saturday night where people can carry concealed without permits," Tom Brokaw said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." “TOM BROKAW: Here is why I think there are a lot of Glocks being sold: because gun owners are worried that they’re going to be outlawed. That’s what happened when President Obama first took office is that people were buying ammunition and storing it in underground bunkers because they thought he was going to outlaw guns and ammunition. Gun control is too simple a phrase to define all the complications and nuances of it, frankly. In Arizona they have a wide open system. I would be nervous about going into a bar or restaurant in Arizona on a Saturday night where people can carry concealed without permits.”

Where people can carry concealed without permits
Wrongo, CCW required, in some states, laws allow for firearm to be out in the open... Bet Brokaw got tons of mail on this...Wonder if he deliberately misspoke?

To be honest over the murder rate in Washington DC...if you cut DC into West DC and East DC...West DC goes down to like 7 murders per 100k residents, and East DC goes up to 50 murders per 100k residents. Not that it really matters because theres not really any restaurant of substance that I could see Tommy hanging out at in eastern DC.

Having lied to us for decades and pushing their liberal agenda these “news people” should be nervous about going out in public.
Everyone hates a liar.

Tom, would you be nervous walking around any parts of NYC at night?
You don’t need to travel all the way across the country to be nervous.

If I were you I would stay out of Alabama, Alaska, Hell all 57 states. Yes, Zero said we had 57, he can't be wrong.
You and Lt Dan (Rather) might want to stay out of the public view. There are a lot of us rednecks that don't take too kindly to your view of our great country.
As a redneck I can say we wouldn't shoot you unless you pulled a piece on us first.
However; when we finished with you, you would be begging somebody to shoot yo sorry A$$.

From what I could see the area of DC we had the freeper party for Bush’s second inauguration was pretty sketchy. But then again I live in a town of 15K people.

I believe Arizona law recently changed to allow concealed carry without a permit.

The bar patrons would be nervous too. Tommy looks like a mortician looking for extra work.

Thanks for the pix of lovely gals & their guns. Somewhere I have a photo of an Israeli girl soldier in her bikini with her M16. Stacked and packed!

I had a Pastor friend that visited Israel. The one thing that bothered him was being in a dining establishment while an Israeli soldier was also dining, their weapon close at hand.
I had to explain that after 4 years in the Army and 27 years on law enforcement, I was much more comfortable being around a bunch of good folks that knew proper use and care of deadly force, than to be around someone that when they saw a gun feared that something bad was going to happen.
We all drive down roads with two-way traffic. Do we live in fear that the driver coming towards us in the other lane is going to swerve and take us out? There's more deadly force in a 2 ton vehicle traveling at 55 mph, than in a 9mm cartridge in someone's Glock. I would rather be around folks with Open Carry than any one else.

Seriously. I would be nervous going into ANY bar if I was that wuss. Especially with HIM!I agree. The nation has more and more caught on to the scam of the MSM. These guys realize that they are as big of villians to the gerneral public as the politicians they cover.

Tom, I would be VERY nervous if you were eating in the same restaurant as me or my family. In fact, we would get up and leave because you stir too many people up with your irresponsible statements.
