An altercation between two men occurred Saturday around 11 p.m. in the parking lot at Village Inn on 900 E. 400 South.
After a verbal altercation inside the restaurant, as one man was getting into his truck, the other man approached his vehicle yelling, then reached down, exposing a gun, said Sgt. Shawn Josephson of the Salt Lake City Police Department.
According to the police report, the man in his truck drew his own gun and pointed it at the other out of self-defense.
The second man then got into another car and left, and the first man left shortly after.
Both individuals left the scene by the time police arrived. No injuries were reported.
The purpose of a pistol is to stop a fight. It worked. Looks like a win/win situation.
Never seen that Lee Van Cleef film.
“La Resa dei Conti”
This was no doubt caused by the vitriolic political debate in our country.
They both would have been cited. Both were verbally fighting and it escalated. Neither is a totally unwilling participant.
Unwilling participant is the guy who walks away and isn’t getting in an escalating yelling match. Unwilling participant is the guy shooting the thug at 3 am who just bashed his front door in.
There you go. An armed society is a polite society.
I also suspect that the truck drive pulled out a lot larger gun than the pistol that first guy pulled. I.E. Size does matter, my 44 magnum beats your 22 lr.
Boy you can sure tell that’s from the 60’s.
Inspired by Bond openings plus LSD?
I found the music/singing to be a bit too shrill and harsh for my tastes.
