Obama says polarized nation needs healing

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Summoning the soul of a nation, President Barack Obama on Wednesday implored Americans to honor those slain and injured in the Arizona shootings by becoming better people, telling a polarized citizenry that it is time to talk with each other "in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds."

Following a hospital bedside visit with Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, the target of the assassination, he said: "She knows we're here, and she knows we love her."

I don’t recall Obama making any similar statement after the Ft. Hood slayings. Perhaps there wasn’t much publicity about it and I wasn’t paying attention. In any case I do not accept any societal instructions as to morality,ethics, behavior from this man. He should be preaching this mantra to his enablers instead of decent law respecting citizens.

The whole thing was a “branded” media circus, staged in front of a highly partisan audience, exploiting the tragedy in Tucson to begin obama’s 2012 re-election campaign!!!!!

At least a few obamabot yahoos in the audience even dared to boo Arizona Governor Brewer, who had just been overwhelmingly elected to her office! Gov. Brewer (unlike obama) gave an appropriate speech for the occasion:
