Palin’s use of a notoriously anti-semetic term as a way of describing herself as a victim of the media, especially given that the real victim here is Jewish, is either grossly ill-informed or intentionally belligerent. Either one is stupid. Not my fault if you don’t see it.
get rid of this guy.
this guy is trying to say that Governor Palin is anti semetic.
I have a prediction.
This is the last day you will ever post on this site
happy trails
First of all, try taking a minute and checking definitions before making such claims, easy enough to do with a simple internet search. Blood libel is not limited to attacks against Jews, although the term is often associated with anti-semetic attacks.
And second, the term blood libel is not anti-semetic, it is a description of anti-semetic attacks. In your zeal to bash Palin, you reversed meaning. Hardly a suprise, it happens all the time with Palin-bashing idiots.
You are examining a gnat on the elephants back. It demonstrates that Sarah owned you with her speech.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
This one is going to resonate more than "death panels," and you think *someone else* doesn't see it?
Get your head out of your ass...
But I disagree strongly. No ethnic group owns the term "blood libel," and Sarah Palin has used it aptly.
I'm reminded of old movies in which some character has become hysterical, screaming and ranting and oblivous to reason. The hysteric's behavior is portrayed as dangerous, in that it could become contagious to the rest of the crowd in the scene.
Then some other character --usually the hero of the story-- walks up to the hysterical screamer and slaps him (or usually her) smartly. The hysteric, suddenly stunned, shuts up and stops inflaming the crowd.
Well, the hysterical screamer in this case is the Left/MSM. And make no mistake, it is THEY who are dangerous to public safety, not Sarah Palin. Sarah has slapped them smartly.
So while it's not likely this scene will unfold quite like it does in old movies, at least the sickeningly irresponsible, hysterical Left/Media will be stunned out of its own inciteful rant by Sarah's perfect metaphor. This is exactly what the country needs.
“Palins use of a notoriously anti-semetic term as a way of describing herself as a victim of the media, especially given that the real victim here is Jewish, is either grossly ill-informed or intentionally belligerent. Either one is stupid. Not my fault if you dont see it.”
Palin was subjected to reckless and utterly baseless accusations of abetting murders (recall there was many more than one victim in this shooting). The accusations tell us more about the accusers than the accused.
Referring to this as a “blood libel” is not too big a stretch of the meaning of the phrase. The intent of a traditional “blood libel” and of what’s being done to Palin is very similar; similar also are the accusations that are made.
There's stupidity afoot but it doesn't come from Palin. Blood libel is not, I repeat, NOT an anti-semitic term. The first clue is the word libel.
Do you want attention and a bunch of people to chide you?
You will probably get it. What you said is blood libel.
[is either grossly ill-informed or intentionally belligerent.]
I think you are guilty of blood libeling Palin’s intentions.
Sorry, I don’t see it either. Sarah is answering fire with fire. The SRM gins up accusations using inappropriate descriptive terms to paint a picture in a succinct way. She doing the same, back at them.
Sarah’s awesome.
BTW did ya’ll hear Sarah, from Alaska, call into Rush today? Commented on the hypocrisy of the SRM attacks on Rush, saying he’s an irrelevant entertainer and in the next breath a person of such power that he has mind control over millions. They want it both ways.
