Los Angeles City Council Recommendation- Austin Dragon
www.austindragon.com ^ | 11 January 2011 | Rockitz

I have never recommended anyone for Los Angeles city council so please take this as a very strong recommendation and help support a conservative who has dared to take the fight to an incompetent, corrupt city hall. Austin Dragon is running for the seat in Council District 10 which spans from as far West of Los Angeles as Palms, to Koreatown in the East and includes Mid-Wilshire and Koreatown in the North down to Baldwin Hills and Leimert Park in the south. While you may not live in this district, many of you have an interest in the continued viability of the city of Los Angeles. Please help save Los Angeles with competent, thoughtful leadership by supporting Austin.

I doubt it. Austin is African-American.

AUSTIN DRAGON BEATS OUT INCUMBENT FOR KEY COMMUNITY ENDORSEMENT!

On Sunday January 23, the Neighborhood News, one of the main publications in the district, sponsored the first 2011 Council District 10 all-Candidate Forum at the Vintage Hollywood Sports Bar and Grill in Los Angeles. Questions from the moderator were developed by a panel of local residents from varying Neighborhood Council districts with a history of community activism. It was followed by questions from the audience at the end.
All five challengers in the race and the current incumbent city councilman participated.

In the end it, it was not the current City Councilman who has represented the district since 2005 that received the forum’s official endorsement – it was candidate, Austin Dragon.

L.A. CLEAN SWEEP ENDORSES CANDIDATES FOR CITY COUNCIL

By Ron Kaye - January 19, 2011

“Austin Dragon was the clear choice in CD 10 over incumbent Herb Wesson and several other candidates”

The L.A. Clean Sweep movement – a non-partisan citywide coalition of community group and activists working for change at City Hall – endorsed candidates in six of the seven City Council races on the March 8 ballot.
