Mitt Romney leads in Nevada Republican presidential primary poll

Public Policy Polling is out today with one of the first early presidential primary polls in Nevada, showing former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney leading the early Republican pack.

The numbers aren’t much of a surprise. Romney was the only candidate to build a campaign organization in Nevada in 2008. He still has a strong following of invested supporters.

Interestingly, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin trails him by 13 percentage points, dispelling some of the notion that Nevada is a strong tea party state. Palin is seen as incredibly popular with the Republican base in Nevada, but not necessarily as a presidential candidate

These are the same "Republicans" who were for Reid.

Republican for Reid costing the GOP ... the Senate.

“Mitt Romney leads in Nevada Republican presidential primary poll”

One would expect that, coming from a State that brought us one of the most disgusting, anti-American, quality of life destroyer in the U.S. Senate.

See tagline. I'm betting I'm not the only one.

I'm totally ready to vote "Tea Party" if necessary in 2012.

Well, they say he leads by 13 pts but later on they say he leads 31-19. Now, maybe I dond’t go to Harvard like Pres Obama, but 31-19 is 12 pts according to my math.

Also, they don’t tell you that Romney won the 2008 NV caucus with 51%. So, he’s already bled more than 40% of his support according this poll. He spent millions in NV, built up a whole organziation, ran ads, campaigned heavily, etc... NV also has a large Mormon population which no doubt helps Romney as they voted close to 100% for him in 2008.

Romney won in NV in 2008 by 38 pts over McCain. This lead is only 12.

Palin got 0% in 2008, and she’s already up to 19%. Despite the media tarring and feathering her every single day for the past two years. She did nothing in NV In 2008. Not bad to already be around 20% without having done anything. And all the abuse she’s taken.

The headline could easily have been “Romney’s 2008 margin down by close to 70%, total collapse of support”

BOHICA.
The internet didn’t prevent the msm from picking our candidate last time, and it won’t stop them next time.

If they can’t manage to inspire some lunatic to commit mayhem on Palin, they’ll just throw invented dirt at her from here to summer 2012. Won’t matter to them if she ends up like Bhutto, McCarthy, or Quayle, as long as she doesn’t end up President.

It’ll be statist Romney they select. He’ll lose, because the conservatives won’t have the stomach to pull that lever.

Outside of LV proper, Nevada is a fairly Mormon state, so this shouldn’t be a huge surprise, anymore than Huck polling well somewhere like TN. When I moved out here to S. Utah, I was shocked to learn that. I’d never known this when I lived in Ohio.

I will fight for the most conservative candidate in the primaries.

If Romney wins the primary, I will not vote for president.

Look at it this way... Unless we can come up with someone better, this is the guy we’re going to be running against Obama.
