Report: Loughner Family Blocks FBI From Entering House

Fox News' Trace Gallagher reporting via phone on the Sean Hannity radio show from Tucson says the parents of accused Rep. Giffords shooter Jared Loughner are blocking the FBI from entering their home.

Gallagher said Fox is sending a crew to the scene.

I am surprised we have heard or read almost nothing about the killer’s parents. We knew all about Hinckley’s parents—they were “wealthy” and “Republicans”— about 12 hours after President Reagan was shot.

We were talking about that a lot yesterday--he does have a dad, and his mom is some kind of state employee. Neighbors said they were stand-offish and not friendly.

Other than that, suspiciously little. Why weren't the MSM at the doorstep ten minutes after we had his name? In any other case, they would have been.

I speculate that there's a reason--either the LE already knew about the problems with JL, or the parents have some kind of pull.

Note AZ papers stated he had prior contact with Giffords per ‘court records’.

That is a good question. Why didn't they have a warrant?
1. they are to lazy.
2. they were refused a warrant
3. They are testing the parents

This is based on nothing but pure speculation, but I'll offer this as a possible scenario:

The FBI needs access to a lot of information in order to support the Federal charges that were just announced today. This Loughner guy has been charged with various charges related to murder and attempted murder of Federal officials, and there may be some difficulty getting a conviction in the case if Loughner's defense team can successfully claim that the shootings were completely random and he had no idea who his victims were.

In order to bolster their case, the Feds need to present sufficient evidence (in the form of written documents, e-mails, etc.) that Loughner targeted his victims (especially the Congresswoman) because of the Federal positions they held.

It appears that they had a warrant and did an initial search. The search warrant may have been modified and now the parents are not opening the door.

Don’t know for sure - but if you refuse to permit entry - the only recourse for LE is to storm the building???????

Are the parents barricading the home???

I kind of doubt that, after killing a judge and I sure the other judges are falling all over themselves to write warrants. In this case, I wouldn’t see a problem with it.

Something is definitely up with the “parents” - something the press does not want to report on. Two mommies or two daddies could be it, or who knows what. Been too long with NO information on the parents. Something is major league fishy here.
