My neighbor “Sky Pilot” will like that, after he gets out of the hospital recovering from his last crash. Grown men and their toys.

It could be useful for people on the water within an hour or two of a rescue. With some kind of muffler and keeping it low to the surface I could see it as an insertion/extraction tool.

If you had a trained pilot that could hook a rescue victim in and take him with them, you bet. I don’t think in an area that had buildings and power lines and stuff just below the water you’d give it to someone who had no training and is stressed already.

The motor and pump are in a small boat like thing on the bottom end of the feed hose. It looks too heavy for the thing to lift.
